Here’s last nights stream from round nine of the semi slick racing f1 2022 league at spa!
This was a fantastic race, I ran a super low downforce setup, but with x3 tyre wear, tyre degradation was always gonna be tricky to manage!!
Starting on mediums we managed to work our way to the front of the grid with a clear straight line advantage, in hindsight i pitted for softs a lap or two early, leaving alot to do in the final stint.
with 6 laps left i found myself p1 with Alain fry the beast of le mans chasing me hard, i quickly realised that defence with the difference in tyre was pointless, at this point i decided my battle was with Delerhon for 2nd place, which i lost on the very last corner!! You may notice i left energy deployment on full for the final time around the second sector, this was a very costly mistake, with the car attempting to kill me multiple times!!
All in all a massively enjoyable strategic race 🏁🏁🏁
