Producer – Brand New S4C Factual Series
Start Date: 5th January 2026
Contract: 6 weeks (flexible)
Location: Remote (Wales-based)
Cardiff Productions are looking for an experienced Producer to lead contributor casting and shape stories for a new presenter-led documentary series for S4C. You’ll have a flair for discovering fresh voices, scripting for talent, and connecting with communities across Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead contributor casting, identifying engaging and diverse voices with compelling real-life stories
- Script effectively for a presenter-led documentary format
- Build strong relationships with contributors, collaborating sensitively
- Work closely with the wider team to drive editorial direction
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience casting for factual/documentary projects
- Strong people skills and ability to work with contributors from diverse backgrounds
- Creative and tenacious approach to finding and developing stories
- Knowledge of and access to diverse communities in Wales
- Desirable (not essential): Ability to speak Welsh
An interest in history and untold stories rooted in Wales is a bonus.

Mae Cardiff Productions yn chwilio am gynhyrchydd profiadol i arwain castio cyfranwyr a siapio straeon ar gyfres ddogfen newydd ar gyfer S4C. Bydd gennych reddf i ddarganfod lleisiau newydd, ysgrifennu sgriptiau i dalent, a chysylltu â chymunedau ledled Cymru.
Prif Gyfrifoldebau:
- Arwain castio cyfranwyr, gan nodi lleisiau amrywiol a diddorol
- Ysgrifennu sgriptiau’n effeithiol ar gyfer fformat dogfen efo cyflwynydd.
- Adeiladu perthnasau cryf â chyfranwyr.
- Cydweithio gyda’r tîm ehangach i lywio cyfeiriad golygyddol
Gofynion Allweddol:
- Profiad o gastio ar brosiectau ffeithiol/dogfennol
- Sgiliau personol cryf a’r gallu i weithio gyda chyfranwyr o gefndiroedd amrywiol
- Agwedd creadigol o ddatblygu straeon
- Gwybodaeth am neu berthynas a chymunedau amrywiol yng Nghymru
- Gallu i siarad Cymraeg yn ddymunol ond ddim yn hanfodol ar gyfer y rôl yma.
Mae diddordeb mewn hanes a straeon o Gymru yn fantais cryf.
