Up and out this morning. Nice walk down the road near Merthyr Mawr (it's not far from Bridgend). Some pretty properties along the lane. Thatched cottages and sweet stone houses line the route. We said hello to our furry and feathered friends (you'll see rabbits, horses, chickens and the occasional peacock - plus the usual pheasants). And a lovely husky type dog that we wish we could cuddle but he never gets up - clearly we're not that interesting. There was a chap fly fishing on the river too. Seemed idyllic. Shame it wasn't a little sunnier, but still an enjoyable walk.
