Happy Birthday to the Legend Phil
Collins !
"Another Day in Paradise" was
released as the first single from
Phil Collins's No.1 Album 'But
Seriously' (1989). The track has
as its subject the problem of
homelessness and was a
departure from the dance-pop
music of his previous album, 'No
Jacket Required' (1985). Collins
sings the song from a third-
person perspective, observing as
a man crosses the street to ignore
a homeless woman, and he
implores listeners not to turn a
blind eye to homelessness
because, by drawing a religious
allusion, "it's just another day for
you and me in paradise", Collins
also appeals directly to God by
singing: "Oh Lord, is there nothing
more anybody can do? Oh Lord,
there must be something you can
say?"
The song was Collins' seventh and
final Billboard Hot 100 No.1
single, and the first No.1 single of
the 1990s. It was also a
worldwide success, eventually
becoming one of the most
successful songs of his solo
career. It won Collins the Grammy
Award for Record of the Year at
the 1991 awards ceremony, while
it was also nominated for Song of
the Year, Best Pop Vocal
Performance, Male and Best Music
Video, Short Form. "Another Day in
Paradise" also won Best British
Single at the 1990 BRIT Awards.

TOP FIVE FACTS ABOUT TUFACE

1) The African musician whose influence is
remarkable in Tuface’s music is Fela. He
however has a thing for Bongos Ikwue, Oliver
De Coque, Hugh Masekela from South Africa,
and many more.

2) His stage name ‘2face’ or Tuface, was
chosen by him not because of any multiple
personality but because of the fact that he
thinks people in public will see him on TV, read
about him in the papers, hear about him on the
radio, thereby creating an impression of him to
many, which necessarily is not all about him,
the real Innocent Idibia and not the public
figure,Tuface

3) Tuface has six children from three different
women. Although he is married to Annie
Macauley, who they both have two girls
together, he also has children from Pero
Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajaba who is happily
married. The names of the children are Rose
Idibia, Isabella Idibia, Nino Idibia, Zii Idibia,
Justin Idibia and Olivia Idibia.

4) Out of the famous global ‘brand’, he has
met in his life, Wyclef Jean stands out for him,
considering his kind of spirit and his humility.

5) Tuface Idibia wants to be remembered as
the artiste who came and was very plain and
open, no film trick around him. What you see is
what you get, No hype. na me be me, you
know. I want to be remembered as that guy
who came and didn’t try to brag that he is
(Aliko) Dangote, my money never reach
Dangote level.

Ready For This? PHYNO AND
OLAMIDE TO RELEASE COLLABO
ALBUM “2 KINGS
'

Yoruba rap star Olamide who
announced that he will
be dropping his fourth studio
album titled 'Street
OT' in November has revealed
that he is working on
another project- a collaborative
album with Igbo
rapper Phyno.
Olamide disclosed this in a
radio interview with on-
air-personality Yaw of
Wazobia FM earlier this
week. The multiple award
winning rapper said he and
Phyno are currently working
on the project, and the
title of the joint album is '2
Kings'. The 'Goons Mi'
hit maker cited the chemistry
between him and Phyno
as the reason why he works
with him often. He also
said that Phyno inspires him to
be at his best.
Phyno and Olamide first
worked together in 2012
when they collaborated on the
ground breaking rap
single 'Ghost Mode' off Phyno's
debut album 'No
Guts, No Glory.' Following the
success of the song,
the two hooked up again on
'Dope Money' off
Olamide's third studio album
'Baddest Guy Ever
Liveth'. In 2013, both Phyno
and Olamide dropped
hints that they were working
on a joint album. The
success of Olamide and Phyno
in the Nigerian music
scene has sparked a huge
interest in indigenous rap
music.
Olamide is currently riding high
off the success of
his two latest singles 'Story For
The Gods', and
'Goons Mi'. Phyno on the other
hand has just
released a brand new single
titled ' Yayo'.
'2 Kings' will be dropping in
2015.
