Gavere World Cup P10. I did a good lap early on in the race to go towards the main group. But then just had to ride my own pace and limit after that. Not really in the mix but still solid. Hoping for a few percent more the next days. Next race is Dendermonde WC on 28th December. Thanks for all the support in this beautiful race. Much appreciated!

Alan Smith is known to many in the world of cycling. You may have come across Alan through Ythan Cycle Club, club rides, road races, though his years teaching youngsters how to ride their bikes or his support for local events.

Earlier this year Alan was recently in a pretty awful cycling collision. He was in a coma for several weeks and remains in hospital in Glasgow. In coming weeks/months, Alan will reach a point where he can return home but before that can happen, there will be some significant adaptations to be made to the house.

Inspired by Alan's years of contribution to local cycling over many years and his unwavering positive outlook, his many cycling friends have set out to support Alan's future and move back to his Ellon home.
