Bit of a mini rant, Music Discovery for a DJ/Radio Presenter is really important so I can always have fresh mixes from my genre and style, Spotify New releases and Discover Weekly have always been a good source for new tracks from the likes of GROOVE CULTURE Michael Gray (Official) Dr Packer Dave Lee JN etc, the Disco, Disco House, Post Disco that I base my Mixcloud Mixes and weekly radio shows on, in-between my day Job of being an IT Guy, fixing and selling all manner of tech and doing all my Social Media stuff promoting it.
The amount of Ai tat that Spotify is hopefully weeding out is horrendous, same old singer, normally a 70s Rock voice and 70s Roch chic imo, low quality production etc, inane lyrics, add to that the cut n paste guys using same old drum groove with the double clap, stealing someone else's work and calling it something else, if you are going to do that, credit the artist and call it a remix. Just played a track without going into details that is Black Box Everybody Everybody with a different redrum, no mention of BlackBox anywhere. The amount of "artists" with clearly created by Suno tracks is ridiculous, taking hard earned royalties from real artists. It's ok to generate ideas, the odd idea or chords maybe but not just Ai Tat farms. Rant over !!
