As part of Agritechnica, taking place from 9 to 15 November 2025 in Hanover, Germany, the DLG (German Agricultural Society) will present the DLG-Agrifuture Concept Winners awards for pioneering agricultural machinery work and future visions.
With this award, DLG underscores its ambition to recognize ground-breaking ideas for the development of future international agricultural machinery at its leading international trade fair.
The award focuses on technical possibilities for the coming years and emphasises their realistic likelihood of implementation.
Amazone’s SoilDetect System has been shortlisted for the DLG-Agrifuture Concept Award.
As part of the BMLEH's Soil4Climate joint project, Amazone is working with partners FieldExpert GmbH, exatrek GmbH, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and the JKI, plus the associated companies Westrup-Koch and Brunotte, on a system for recording soil conductivity during soil tillage.

Väderstad has launched a new front tool option for the disc cultivators Carrier XT 425–625 and Carrier XL 425–725 for ultra-shallow tillage and mechanical w**d control.

The new third disc axle configuration increases disc density from two rows to three, reducing the disc spacing to just 8.3cm. This results in 50% more tools in the ground, delivering highly intensive mixing, crumbling, and residue management.

“With three rows of CrossCutter Discs, we can improve cultivation performance and significantly improve the versatility of shallow tillage systems,” says Väderstad UK managing director Andy Gamble. “Key benefits include high w**d-killing rates, preserve soil moisture, and reduce fuel consumption, making them a good option for both conventional and organic farming systems.”

Field tests have shown that the new front tool is able to create a stronger stale seedbed, promote w**d germination and more effective w**d knockdown in a second pass.

New Holland is building on the technology, connectivity and durability of its variable- chamber round balers with the introduction of the new Roll-BeltTM 180 PLUS (producing bales up to 1.8m diameter) and 150 PLUS (up to 1.5m diameter). They offer multiple feeding options and feature upgraded components and technology to maximize throughput and minimize downtime, helping customers do more in short weather windows.

An Agritechnica Innovation Silver medal is conferred on an innovation for an existing product such that a significant improvement in functionality and process is achieved. The product does not fully meet the criteria for the award of an Innovation Gold Medal. Key criteria include:

- Relevance at farm level
- Work load reduction and enhanced work quality
- Improved reliability
- Positive impact on environmental sustainability and energy efficiency

The camera systems that have become increasingly widespread on the agricultural market so far serve above all to cover blind spots that are not visible from the driver's seat or to provide support when crossing roads. JCB is set to launch two brand new Fastrac tractors at Agritechnica in November - taking the concept to new levels of performance, productivity and operator appeal.
The wraps will come off the all-new 6000 Series, making it the third high-performance Fastrac series in JCB’s tractor range.
The Fastrac 6260 with 212kW (284hp) and the 6300 at 250kW (335hp) have a new chassis structure, selectable four-wheel steering, four-wheel external disc braking with anti-lock both on- and off the road, 66kph top speed, where permitted, and long-proven all-round suspension – all unique features for this power class.
In addition, the new tractors will be available with a fully-integrated tyre inflation management system to optimise tyre pressure for road and field operations, and axles with brake pad wear monitoring and quick-change replacement of brake discs.

In order to avoid tension in the drivetrain of all-wheel-drive vehicles when cornering, the differences in speed between the front and rear axles or between the two wheels on an axle must be balanced. Differentials are most widespread today, whereas hydrostatic or electric individual wheel drives are only used in isolated cases as alternatives in self-propelled agricultural machinery or are still in the prototype stage. If slip occurs, the wheel speeds have to be reduced or even synchronised completely.

Agritechnica Innovation Awards 2025. The leading innovation award scheme in the agricultural machinery industry received 251 entries of which 234 were approved for the list of exhibition innovations. The DLG Innovation Jury has awarded two innovations with gold and 22 innovations with the silver medal.

An Agritechnica Innovation Gold medal is conferred on an innovation demonstrating a new concept in which the functionality has changed decisively and gives rise to a new process or marks a substantial improvement to an existing process.

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is one of the major challenges facing the off-highway sector. With the goal of achieving net-zero emissions in the future, exhibitors at Systems & Components are working on alternative drive concepts and pursuing an open technology approach—one that also prepares established systems for the future. Looking ahead to the innovations being presented from November 9 to 15 at the Hannover exhibition grounds in Germany, one thing is clear: the diesel engine will continue to have its place—but it will no longer be the all-purpose solution for every application.

As varied as the tasks of agricultural and construction machinery may be, most of these vehicles have one thing in common: the diesel engine. Amazone has launched the new generation Catros+ 12003-2TX in 12m and 12.25m working widths.
This innovative new development is characterised by a new chassis design and folding concept, together with a wide range of new equipment options.
Particularly noteworthy is the greater selection of disc types and rear packers, and the extended disc element for use in controlled traffic farming systems.
With a working width of up to 12.25m and a maximum working speed of 18km/h, the Catros+ 12003-2TX offers high output, combined with low draft requirements, making it ideal for large farms and contractors.

KUHN Farm Machinery has released a 14.5m version of its mounted non-conditioner disc mower, becoming the widest mounted mower available on the market.

The GMD 15030 is aimed at farmers cutting crops that don’t require conditioning. It features four 3.1m, seven-disc beds and offers a 14.5m cutting width in one pass when used with KUHN’s 3.1m GMD front mounted mower. The rear bed sections operate in left and right pairs, and each bed has its own articulation to improve contour following.

Central to the design is a patented 180-degree gearbox mounting to allow each pair of beds to fold without breaking the driveline. This innovative arrangement protects drivelines and maintains timing for each bed, even when folded. The GMD 15030 has a transport width under 3m and a folded height of under 4m, similar to KUHN’s other triple mower models, while a weight of just 3.8t means a modest 230hp is required.
