Piranha Records was founded and is still run by Paul Hawker and Rob Learmonth (‘Rob Sinclair' on the original releases). Originally active as DJs in London and Brighton playing at a range of nights/events in the 90s and early 00s, also party/club night promoters and then music producers. We were signed to Brighton-based Loaded records by label owner Tim Jeffrey and went on to release two EPs under the name Suggestive; Advances (1993) and Banjo (1994). We set up our own recording studio, located in London working in partnership with digital animators (Atomic Arts) to provide sound/music, and working with similar artists and DJs on various projects. One of the results of this was Wildlife EP which was released on our own Piranha Records imprint in 1995. This was re-released earlier this year by KMA60 Rezpektiva, quickly selling out. These days Paul has a dedicated recording studio and collaborates with musicians and DJs on a range of projects. Rob is a keyboard player and DJ who also has a regular radio show, and writes/produces/remixes music for various projects. Discography:
