How do you handle performing on a grand stage when your audience is just 28 people? You give it your 100% of course!

This is what happened to the ‘Chuckle Brothers’ before their big break, little did they know a BBC producer was in that small audience and was a huge fan of what they saw “what we loved about you is you got lots of laughs just playing to 28 people”.

Be sure to catch up with the 'Blowers & Friends' podcast and watch the latest episode with Paul 'Chuckle' Elliott over on our YouTube channel (https://youtu.be/rwncq-6mTiY?si=GCEMutnQ83e3qlg9) or wherever you get your podcasts!

Did you know that some of the most innovative organisations in the world are using podcasting as part of their Learning and Development strategy?

This little snippet from the tremendous Every Day’s a School Day podcast from St. James's Place shows how short form podcast video snippets can be deployed to provide small, actionable tips and advice.

Fascinating bit of insight from Dr T as he joined Hannah Frame and Nicki Finnigan in their virtual classroom turned podcast.

COP28 is about as big as it gets when it comes to climate and energy sustainability – that's why The Energy Gang, from Wood Mackenzie, simply HAD to be there.

Podcasting on location from industry events and conferences not only keeps your audience up to date with the latest trends and development but, for leading podcasts like The Energy Gang, it places their expert commentary and analysis right in the centre of the conversations shaping our future.

If events and conferences are already part of your 2024 marketing plan, there’s still time to make the most of the added value available from event podcasting.

From inviting potential clients or partners on to your podcast as guests, to solidifying your brand as an industry thought leader, event podcasting continues to be where we see the most growth and engagement in branded podcasting.

Find out how you can turn a run of the mill event into months' worth of engaging content here: https://www.thepodcastguys.co.uk/live-event-content-production.html

This weeks comes from one of our Content Producers, Sam Nash - it's 'The Nikki Glaser Podcast'!

Here's what she had to say on it: "Listening to this podcast is like pulling up a chair with your closest friends for a candid behind-the-scenes chat. Nikki is an incredibly relatable comedian and fearlessly dishes out insider details about her life as a media professional and her regular encounters with celebrities. As a fellow pop culture enthusiast, I revel in the prospect of getting the inside scoop from Nikki. She tackles every topic, no matter how uncomfortable, with a refreshing honesty that never fails to bring laughter. She has a knack for vocalising those thoughts you keep to yourself, and the result is an irresistibly entertaining podcast experience."

This weeks comes from our one and only Podcast Marketing Manager, Alex Greenan 🎧 - it's 'If Books Could Kill'.

Here's what he had to say on it: "If you’re anything like me, you’ll be as curious as you are frustrated about the modern epidemic of self-congratulatory self-help books which currently plague our shelves and wallpaper our LinkedIn feeds.

Well, we’re not alone! If Books Could Kill is a podcast series which unpicks and analyses famous ‘revolutionary’ books including The 4-Hour Work Week, The Art of the Deal and Atomic Habits.

With research as sharp as it’s dry humour, If Books Could Kill is my favourite discovery of 2024 so far."

This weeks is Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast (RHLSTP)🎙️ and comes recommended by one of our Producer's, Toby Biggins-Gilchrist.

"I'm a huge fan of RHLSTP, the fact it's recorded live in front of an audience of guests gives it an extra layer of entertainment and makes it definitely worth a listen! Richard Herring is great and has spoken to so many big names in previous episodes. My personal favourites being, the episodes with Stephen Fry, Stephen Merchant and Jackie Weaver (she of hand forth parish council fame - "You have no authority, Jackie Weaver!"). It's a podcast full of raw and unfiltered conversation with some of the biggest names in comedy, tv and film 🎥 🎭 - how can you get any better than that?!"
