Imagine walking through a doorway and hearing the beginning of a story set in that very place, drawn from the real history of that location, enriched with character, drama and a compelling narrative. GeoStories are created from hidden histories and inspired by real places. When visiting a place with a GeoStory, all th

at is needed is a smartphone and headphones. The stories are triggered by GPS location-based technology so as an individual passes specific places, the story will build in the place they are visiting. Listeners can also choose to listen to a GeoStory from anywhere, enabling them to be transported to that particular place, and time. GeoStories go beyond a traditional audio guide experience, bringing to life the people that occupied those places, and the events that took place there, creating a unique, entertaining and immersive experience. Excited to share four new audio dramas celebrating 's Heritage launched for International Women's Day 2025 in collaboration with Under the Radar!

The free audio dramas are available at https://youtube.com/ – they are remarkable stories of activists in from the beginning of the suffrage movement to the early 20th century when the fight for the vote became more militant.

Each story is set in Sheffield and captures a moment in time that has been overlooked, transporting listeners to events that have consequences that still resonate today. They have been written and produced by a voluntary creative team – many thanks to our actors/performers and supporters!

What dark forces had it brought to the town?

Two women gut herrings in their usual spot at the harbour, yet this is no ordinary morning at the harbour. They can’t help but look across at the shipwreck, recalling the mysterious events that have befallen Whitby since it's fateful arrival...
