The tale from the beginning.

My name is Shaun Brady, the braun and the brains behind SBDJ Services. I’m a self employed freelance musician, always looking for new challenges and unique ways to develop myself doing the things I love. I enjoy listening to many different styles of music, tinkering on my saxophone and exploring with my partner Lauren in our classic 1989 mini!

I suppose the main thing you need to know about me, is that I have a passion for music. I love it, always have. Nobody knows why – my parents haven’t a musical bone in their body, the only interest my dad has is his little man crush for the ‘Eagles.’ So basically, I’m a normal guy who just decided one day in primary school that I wanted to learn the saxophone.

From there my interests expanded throughout school, college and university taking up more instruments, listening to more music and collaborating with different groups, ensembles and musicians. Whilst studying for my degree, I decided to take the plunge and start my own business – moving away from my part time retail job where I met my lovely partner. After playing a few different DJ events, mainly for friends and family, I built the courage to buy myself some ‘proper’ equipment so I could start to feel more professional and look the part. What began as a midi controller on a wobbly camping table, turned into a purpose built DJ booth with a built in desk, equalisers and compressors and built in LED lighting. I’m a sucker for a bargain, so our setup is constantly evolving with the introduction of new technologies, whether that be lighting, hardware or software!

Four years on, my small business has grown into a full time job with more excellent DJ’s and entertainers fulfilling contracts and putting smiles on all of our customers faces. As a team, we’re dedicated to providing a personal service to all of our clients, and are proud to provide professional entertainment package services for all kinds of events, weddings and celebrations.
