ACOMEDY CLUB 2026 SCHEDULE KICKS OFF ON 5th FEBRUARY WITH THE BRILLIANT MATT BRAGG HEADLINING

Firstly, hoping you all had a marvellous Christmas, wishing you a very Happy New Year and thanking you for all your support in 2025.
We topped off a cracking year of comedy at our sold-out Christmas Show on 14th December with the mighty Paul Sinha headlining.
Thanks to all who came and apologies to those who couldn’t get tickets. We could’ve sold out 2 or 3 times over.
Anyway, enough of looking back, because that’s a bit rubbish. Let’s tell you about our 2026 schedule.
What a start we have at AComedy Club on Thursday 5th February.
We’re delighted to welcome as our headliner one of the fastest rising stars on the UK comedy circuit, the sublime talent that is Matt Bragg ("Classic observational stand up, delivered with effortless style." Ricky Gervais "Jack Dee’s world view, with Frank Skinner’s voice, all wrapped in a Mod’s fashion sense" Chortle). Matt spent much of 2025 supporting Ricky Gervais on his World Tour, and we’re absolutely sure he’s going to be absolutely massive, and you’re going to love him.
Not only do we have Matt, but amazing support from Jay Sodagar, Ben Clover, Emma Plowright and Steve Vertigo. All shambolically held together by resident MC, Paul Merryck.
Now for the rest of the year booked so far. Here are our March – July line-ups:
MARCH 5 – SIMON EVANS, Dan Evans, Ali Warwood, Oliver Moore and Ed Mulvey
APRIL 2 – DANE BAPTISTE, Rory O’Hanlon, Naomi Cooper, Jake Patrick and Prateek Kohli
MAY 7 – LAURA LEXX, Jason Patterson, Thenjiwe, Elaine Fellows and Daniel Tizon
JUNE 4 – LAURA SMYTH, Paul F Taylor, Dave Chawner, Madeleine Brettingham and Patrick Brusnahan
JULY 2 – IAN SMITH, Otiz Cannelloni, Chris Norton-Walker, Jonathan Hipkiss and Maple Zuo
All shows hosted as always at our wonderful venue ACanteen, in the heart of Chelmsford City centre, where you can enjoy a great meal and/or a few drinks from the brilliant bar, whilst watching some of the finest comedians in the UK and from the rest of the world. 5 of them to be exact!
