We would like to take a moment to welcome a new Defibrillator Legacy Programme family and to support them in the process of enhancing Defibrillator Provision within our local community.
Defib Legacy - Story:
In Loving Memory of Geoff Phillips
A Defibrillator Legacy Fundraiser
Passed Away: 9th July 2025 | Age 82
We are raising funds to purchase a life-saving defibrillator in loving memory of Geoff Phillips, our incredible dad, husband, grandad, and friend.
Geoff was the rock of our family—strong, wise, funny, and endlessly kind. He was a loving husband to Elaine, a brilliant father to Neil and Ian, and a true friend to so many. He had that rare gift of making everyone feel welcome and valued. Whether it was a quick-witted joke, a helping hand, or just being there when you needed him, Geoff had a way of making the world feel a little brighter.
On the 9th of July 2025, at the age of 82, Geoff passed away peacefully after showing immense courage and strength through several years of health challenges. True to the “Phillips grit,” he fought bravely, never losing his humour, his love for his family, or his unwavering spirit.
As a family, we wanted to honour Geoff’s life with something lasting and meaningful. That’s why we’re raising funds for a public access defibrillator, which will be placed in the local community—offering a real chance to save lives in an emergency.
Geoff believed in helping others, and we can’t think of a better tribute than giving someone the chance to live because a defibrillator was there when it mattered most.
Please consider donating, no matter how small. Your support will help create a legacy of life in Geoff’s name.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Elaine, Neil, Ian and all the Phillips family.
If you would like to support, they have had a designated Enthuse Page set up that is welcome to support and donation contributions: https://greatwesternairambulance.enthuse.com/pf/in-loving-memory-of-geoff-phillips-a-defibrillator
