We are excited to announce the launch of our new book A Thriving Mind. The book is a very practical guide to developing resilience, and positivity in young children, to prepare them for the challenges of life. It supports parents, teachers, mentors, coaches, and anyone working with young children, aged 2-8 years, in understanding and developing mental toughness.
The contributing authors have brought together, their vast array of expertise and knowledge of early years development, to facilitate the learning and growth of parents, teachers and the like. Here we bring together their views, to present how common areas of concern including: dealing with children’s attitudes, psychological safety and emotional well-being, behaviours, peer relationships, co-regulation and escalation, dealing with trauma, adversity and loss, relate to mental toughness. This book presents a variety of practical tools and development suggestions that can be employed in conjunction with the remarkably well-evidenced mental toughness concept.
Supported by our unique Resilient Creatures series of books. A unique set of illustrated stories for young children. Each is a carefully written rhyming tale conveying a key message about attitude and behaviour. The Resilient Hedgehog website supports each story with downloadable resources for parents/teachers.
