Derbyshire set to receive £4m boost in battle against anti-social behaviour

Derbyshire will benefit to the tune of £4.4m over the next two years as part of a national action plan to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB). A hard-line approach will see those committing ASB forced to repair the damage they inflict on victims and communities with 48 hours of the offence.

£60m residential development gets underway in North East Derbyshire

Work has begun on £60m development of 247 new-build homes near Chesterfield.

Avant Homes Central will deliver the scheme on 28 acres of land at Tibshelf Road in Holmewood. A fifth of the development will consist of affordable housing. Planning for the scheme – dubbed Earl’s Park – was secured in December 2021.

The housebuilder will also put £2.3m towards the provision of local education and healthcare in the area.

Derbyshire Police: Can you help us find missing teen Kyra?

The 15-year-old left her address in Glossop on Tuesday afternoon and was seen by witnesses heading in the direction of the town centre.

She is thought to have been heading toward the train station and officers have been working to establish where she may have travelled from there.

Police and Crime Commissioner announces new police station for Clay Cross.

Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Angelique Foster has announced plans to develop a new policing base to serve the communities of Clay Cross.

The Commissioner has agreed to acquire a site in Bridge Street, Clay Cross, for the Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT). The site previously accommodated a council depot and has been cleared for redevelopment.
