Out operating the Monsal Trail and Peak District today while Tom (2E0TGI) did his Big Hike for Cancer.

My pal Basil was keeping an eye on the qso’s for us and with variable conditions still did ok with a stop start activation through the day

Both of us enjoyed a great evening out above Sheffield on the very edge of The Peak District up at Redmires Reservoirs - unfortunately cut short with battery finally needing a recharge - most calls on 40m in the glorious sunshine

Haven’t been regularly activating lately so today the Pota pooch and I decided to make the effort to go an activate a park. With GB-1604 Bickerton Hill Site of Significant Scientific Interest only being up the road from home we decided to do this one.

It was a great afternoon, 72 ITL with a few P2P, I will be making an effort to activate every Wednesday again.

This afternoons Activation - while I was busy getting qso’s Amanda went hunting wildlife and managed to get this shot of the peregrine - which was sat surveying its territory basking in the sun.

68 total ITL with 35 on voice and 33 on DATA,couple of P2P and a few regular Hunters.
