ad 🌸 I don’t know if you ever noticed but I rarely shared the beautiful bay window in the girls room and this is why!

We had the pre existing curtains which were threadbare and had seen better days. So we had a daily battle with stick on black out blinds that would leave sticky residue on the windows and it just looked a mess!

Not to mention that the radiator had been replaced during the renovation and had left a gap on the wall. So I’ve given this space a refresh, cleaned and replaced the curtain rail.

These beautiful full length woven curtains are blackout lined and keep the room nice and cosy ready for the winter. They are also pre hooked so hanging them was really easy, you simply move the hook to your desired height and they hang beautifully so no adjustments are needed.

I think you’ll agree it’s given the room such an elegant look and ties in beautifully with the rest of their room 🌸✨

A little round up of this month so far and it’s been a full one already 🌻

We celebrated Tim’s 40th birthday by hosting a party at ours! 🍸🍾

I finished the girls playhouse and they absolutely love it! Yesterdays party saw all the kids playing in here

We got out all our alcohol and then I printed some cocktail recipes. For food we ordered take out pizzas 🍕

This morning the balloons were a highlight for the girls. I wanted to put more star decorations up but put them somewhere too safe I couldn’t find them ⭐️🫣

Those cosy corners are starting to come in as the evenings are drawing in

I had my last day with Tilly before she started school! She chose this little plate that I’ll add to our growing plate wall as a memento

The snug is looking cost too, I need to start adding some autumnal flowers in here now

The girls room was tidy so deserved a post

This is one of my most common questions and the honest answer is I don’t. But here is our rough weekly routine from someone who doesn’t like routines

Having three small children means I do have to have some kind of routine to make sure everything runs in the house and we can live in relative cleanliness and have a tidy home. But I get overwhelmed when it’s all at once so this is how I break it up so it doesn’t feel like a massive task

Firstly my number one life hack if put a load of washing on. It stops the huge pile up at the weekend and means we always have a clean pair of clothes

I absolutely cannot stand putting away washing so I try and do this when the girls are getting ready for bed. I won’t lie to you though, it does live in its basket much longer than I’d like!

Kitchen is wiped down every evening. From a cleanliness point of view but also from a practical. It means we can get up in the morning and make breakfast straight away

Snacks and crumbs are a daily here. Hoovering daily is a must! I do think because we keep up with the toy tidy it does help to keep on top of it all

Snug is our space, we don’t let the girls in here with toys or snacks so it does stay relatively tidy. I need somewhere to relax in the evening and switch off

Bathrooms and toilets usually get cleaned when my husband does the food shop on a Saturday morning. It means they’re ready for a new week

Is there anything better than getting rid of the Sunday scaries than by having fresh bedding to start the new week?

This one might shock people but I really try to only tidy their bedroom every other week. When they’re older I’ll encourage them to do their own rooms. I think setting those boundaries now helps make their space feel more like their own

And because of this I only hoover upstairs every two weeks. This one may ruffle some feathers but I find it’s the best way for us

Would there be anything you’d change? Would love to hear how you manage. And yes, if you didn’t guess we don’t have a cleaner! We both work from home so manage it ourselves 💛
