Good news: We received news overnight that The Barn has been awarded Semi-Finalist (2nd place) for Best Short Film, by Stockholm City Film Festival 🥈🙏🎬🎥🎭

The next BIG film festival for The Barn, is the Bristol RS Film Festival on 30th November. The Barn is a Finalist in the categry of Best Drama and is to be screened. All tickets are sold out but we are very lucky that Lena Richardson Hill (Mary) will be attending 🙏🎭

Our fingers are firmly crossed 🤞

Our film, The Barn, premieres tomorrow Sunday 4th August, with red carpet, press, photos, fizz and the cast, crew and production team.

We have SOLD OUT 🎬
Tickets to join us at the Premiere have all gone BUT you can still see The Barn on the big screen.
- 22nd August at Chichester International Film Festival. I will be attending also.
- Late August. Sussex Film Festival, Horsham. Date ro be confirmed.

We are also hoping for The Barn to be screened at a number of other festivals around the UK during the next year before it lands on Amazon. Currently Bristol, Leeds and Glasgow have shown interest as have Indiana, California and Vancouver in North America, and Berlin and Rome Indie festivals in Europe.

We’re now in the last week of 2 months post-production, then a week of prep for cinema screening (final dub stage mixing and digital distribution checks), and then we premiere The Barn (20-minute short) at Chichester International Film Festival and Hailsham Film Festival before starting on the film festival tour in Italy, Germany, France, USA, Canada, Australia.

Not bad for a community non-profit production, budget of £112k (zero funding), supported by Kate Winslet 🌟 and the Mission Impossible editorial team, and many many great charities and donors, not to mention the amazing and talented cast, crew, production and post-production teams.
That’s more than 55 individuals, a dozen charities, half a dozen studios and production houses, and yours truly, that have all acted, crewed, filmed, lit, graded, coloured, effects’ed, scored music, costumed, painted makeup, dressed sets, made props, driven kit and folks around, transported and hired kit from across Sussex and Hampshire, consulted, flown drone cameras, snapped photos, brewed coffees, buttered bread, ran erronds, created storyboards, run social media campaigns, sang vocals, balanced the books, clapped the clapperboard, edited audio, edited film, held microphones, created effects, marketed and nagged, run the GoFundMe campaign. Phew!!! And so much more 🙏
