The Lock-in is under new management for the next couple of weeks as the usual landlord is away catching some sun, oh and sampling the finest vegetarian food the Canary Islands has to offer.

Join Gary Booker, the new temporary landlord and Nigel S***t his glamorous bar steward for 3 hours of fun and music.

Good afternoon! What a miserable Sunday we've had so far - but I hope you've had nice weekend, despite the weather!

Big Nigel had a terrific idea this weeks theme - this month is "The Big Draw" which is an international event to celebrate the act of drawing. So let's do something a bit different this week - send us a request (any - your choice), but draw it and we have to guess what your request is 😂😂😂. Can you guess the songs that Steve and Big Nige have drawn?

Alternatively - if you don't fancy that, then you can pick something from the year 2000.

Good afternoon! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

We need to wish Big Nigel a big "Get Well Soon!" as he's not feeling too great today. So poorly in fact that he's got a Kebab from last night *that he didn't eat* to reheat in the microwave (inc. salad) to make him feel better later though.

So that means that I have an unexpected Bar steward tonight. I'll let you guess who from the picture... 😂

Good Morning! It's Star Trek day tomorrow as the 8th September 1966 was when the first episode aired. So our theme tonight is "Space"

Alternatively - I thought we'd have a dual-theme tonight instead of a Year, so I want to know a song that can immediately transport you to a time and place the moment you hear it.

For me, one such song would be "Ultra Naté - Free":
The year is 1997 and I'm 19 years old, driving home from visiting friends in Norforlk in my first car - a Red Vauxhall Nova - it's late and I'm on the M25 with the radio on and I hear this song for the first time and it immediately resonates with me, despite some not-so-great things going on in my life at the time - I do feel "free" to do what I want to do. So, whenever I hear that song - that's immediately what I remember.

On this day, 28 years ago in New York City musician and composer, Patrick Grant founded International Strange Music Day.

What may you ask is that ? Well Patrick believed that if society could broaden their musical spectrum, it could in return change the way people look at other aspects of life.

So tonight’s show is based on music genres you wouldn’t normally listen to, be creative, be different and maybe you’ll surprise yourself with something new.

To coincide with the anniversary you can also choose something from the year 1997.
