I love reflecting on my goals each month. Personal ones but also my family ones too. One of our goals for this year is to be more 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 as a family.

By ‘intentional’ I mean being the kind of family that embraces the inconvenient moments for the sake of 𝙛𝙪𝙣 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨. The kind of parents that not only pass on wealth & education but also a 𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙘𝙮 of character and faith... And the kind of 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜.

I share this journey on the vlogs because 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮, 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙣𝙚.

During a recent conversation, Hubby and I talked about how we can better achieve this goal.

We discussed how we can continue the conversation on 𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞-𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙢, 𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚, raising 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣, 𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 and challenge black stereotypes as a ; without waiting for permission from the wave of a movement or .

We also discussed how we can be more 𝙜𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙡-𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙜𝙚 as a . We love having open conversations about these topics and invite you to join us on our new family page ➡️ .bhouse.family ❤️

These pictures were meant to be part of a series of images for a post on ‘How it started vs how it’s going’.... With images from my single days to marriage to pregnancies to now as a wife and mother. But the message just didn’t sit well with me.

Maybe it’s the fact that I’m raising two young women. Maybe it’s the fact that I know the pressures and expectation society places on women. This has all made me more conscious about the messages I portray too.

So instead I’m sharing this... Because the truth is I am so thankful for each season. The lessons and the blessing.

We are doing a fun family takeover challenge with . The kids decide where we go out for the day and what we wear too.

I’ve got to give a shoutout to the twins. Olivia styled myself and baby Alaba. Noah styled Daddy and Caleb. They did so well!

Did you guess right?

The gender reveal video 🎥 is up on my channel. This is a fun one as I was the only one who knew the gender and an emotional one too.

The kids were so excited to find out if they were welcoming a little brother or little sister.

The boys had their preference and Olivia had her preference too, but once Baby Alaba arrived they all couldn’t be happier.

They are the best big brothers and sister, and I couldn’t be more proud of them.
