✨DISNEY CRUISE - SEA DAYS ✨

Part of the reason we chose our first Disney cruise to be from Vancouver going to Hawaii, is because it started with 5 sea days! And what better way to enjoy the ship than that much time solidly onboard?!

We LOVE sea days, honestly I prefer a sea day to a port day 🙈 is that an unpopular opinion?! 🤔

Don’t get me wrong, port days are great, especially when it’s the Hawaiian islands, but I always feel the pressure to cram a port day with as much as possible to not waste any time. Whereas, a sea day, especially 5 of them in a row, are just so chilled, so relaxed and so freeing! Plus being on the ocean fills my heart with happiness 🥰

After some video issues our DISNEY WONDER EMBARKATION DAY vlog is now live!

Our very first Disney cruise, that saw us embark on Vancouver and begin our five sea day stint across the Pacific to Hawaii was a bit of a mixed bag…. We missed out on some Disney magic because we had a delayed boarding at the port. I was desperate not to have anything taint the day so just tried to put it out of my mind, but would you have been happy with it? Disney didn’t do anything to try and make it right, would you have accepted that?

A throwback to one of our best exploring days ever! At the end of August we took the 3hr drive from Salt Lake City in Utah down to Arches National Park and the town of Moab. We spent all morning exploring and hiking in the heat to some famous Arches (like Double Arch) and crazy rock formations (like Balanced Rock) and that in itself was awe-inspiring and incredible! But we then spent the afternoon driving along the Potash Road and off roading our way towards Canyonlands National Park and the Potash Fields. If there’s ever been anything I’ve seen that took me by surprise, it has to be this! The colours of the blue salt pools against the backdrop of deep red rock was pretty hard for the brain to understand!

✨🌺 HAWAII MEMORIES 🌺✨

I have received the full gallery back from and I don’t know where to begin 😭

Should I start by telling you about how much I love my family? How these are the most beautiful photos of Carl & I we’ve ever had? Should I tell you about the sheer beauty of Hawaii or how special sunset was on this night? Because honestly I think Shannon captured all of the above plus a huge dose of magic all in these photos.

I now have more than 80, yes 80, photos just as stunning as these! I’m a bit lost for words to be fair, these photos are everything.

Would you book a family shoot whilst away on holiday? I’m so glad we did!

✨ EVER AFTER AULANI ✨

We’ve been home 2 days, and I’m missing our paradise home in O’ahu! So here are some of my favourite magical moments at Disney’s Aulani in the Hawaiian Islands 🌺

☀️✨ OUR FINAL MOMENTS IN PARADISE ✨☀️

To begin our longest toughest journey home ever (not including the Disney blues, Aulani withdrawal symptoms and/or the inevitable consequential emotional meltdowns, mine not the kids 🙈😭) we got to spend the whole day at and watch the sunset 🤩

And boy was it the best sunset of our whole trip! This could be one of the most amazing sunsets I’ve ever witnessed 🥹 We were dressed for the airport so the boys were running around blowing off some steam and it meant a great time for some photos 😍

The journey home saw us leave Aulani at 7pm on Wednesday. We flew out of Honolulu on a 6hr flight to Seattle at 10pm. A 3 hr forward time change saw us land at Seattle at 7am on Thursday. We jumped on a free hotel shuttle to the very nearby where we got a hotel room for a few hours. We showered, did some work, slept, had some lunch then headed back to the airport for our 5pm 10hr flight home with ✈️ we landed at on Friday at 11am and were home by 3pm Friday afternoon, a further 8 hrs ahead of Seattle / 11hrs ahead of Honolulu 😂 anyone else exhausted just reading that?! 🤣

Was it worth it? 100% YES. Would I do it again? For Hawaii? For Aulani? 1000% YES. This trip will stay with us forever, these memories will last a lifetime and do believe will never be beaten 🥹 if you ever get the chance to visit Hawaii or Aulani TAKE IT. I still stand behind my claim of Hawaii being my absolute favourite place in the world, I just can’t see anywhere else topping it 🌺

✨☀️HAWAII GOLDEN HOUR☀️✨

Hawaii sunsets absolutely hit different 🤩
I have been following for years now after finding her whilst researching for this trip, so once I knew the dates we’d be in O’ahu I knew this was the trip I wanted documented forever and I booked us in!

Shannon has just sent us a sneak preview of the photos and I love them 🥹 we got to go back to Jurassic Park AKA for this session too which was such a full circle moment after it being the first place we visited in Hawaii this trip too 🤩

We can’t wait for the full gallery Shannon! Thanks for taking such good care of us on Tuesday night, we weren’t sure what to expect and this is a little (a lot) out of our comfort zone but you made us so relaxed!
