🌺✨ JURASSIC PARK ✨🌺

Yesterday, we made it to HAWAII!!! And my oh my did it feel good to be back after 15 years away 🥹 we watched us sail in at sunrise (more in stories of this) before docking at the Aloha Tower in Honolulu. We were off the ship asap at 8.30am, jumped in a Lyft and headed to our pre booked (self arranged) Jurassic Adventure Tour at 🤩

Henry has been obsessed with all things dinosaurs as long as I can remember, so driving through and visiting all these epic and Jurassic Park locations was awesome, but the landscape was something else! They offer a bunch of tours but this one suited us down to the ground with the boys ages and we’d all highly recommend it!

We then jumped in an Uber this time and headed for sushi and a walk in Waikiki, we’ll be back in Waikiki for a few nights after our ends (let’s not talk about it, I’m not ready to leave the Disney Wonder 😭) so it was great to see it before we headed back to the ship!

Today, we we arrived in Kaua’i for the most INCREDIBLE day of exploring we have ever had 🥹 more on that to come!

✨🚢 LAST DISNEY SEA DAY 🚢✨

Last night was our last Disney Cruise Sea Day before we reached Hawaii! The weather was beautiful all day, 27C / 80F, and you could tell the whole ship was getting in the Hawaiian spirit! There was an amazing Polynesian show on the atrium and there were Hawaiian shirts everywhere!

We made the most of the weather spending pretty much all day on deck, then went out for golden hour photos before we turned the temp way down for Frozen: A Musical Spectacular! I wasn’t sure what I’d think and whether it would be any good as it’s been cut down to 1 hour but holy moly it was fantastic! It had me totes emosh 🥹😂 such a perfect end to a perfect day 🥰

We now have 4 port days ahead of us:
🌺 Honolulu, O’ahu
🏝️ Nawiliwili, Kaua’i
🌊 Kahului, Maui
🍍 Hilo, Hawai’i

Next stop: HONOLULU!!!!!

🚢✨ DISNEY SEA DAYS ✨🚢

We have FIVE days at sea to get us from Vancouver to Honolulu (our first port of call!) so here is a recap of our 1st few days at sea 🤩

We have a Hawaiian experience this afternoon, our first ever pirate night tonight and then one more sea day before we get to the Hawaiian islands 🥹🌺✨🚢

✨🌺 EMBARKATION DAY! 🌺✨

Our very first is here at last! We’re spending the next 10 nights onboard the Disney Wonder from Vancouver all the way to Hawaii!

Staying at the was worth every penny because we slept with the curtains open to make sure we didn’t miss her pulling in, and whilst it meant a very interrupted nights sleep and a very early rise with the sun, we did watch her pull in to our boarding spot right below our window and it was immense 🥹

Wow is the Disney Wonder small! She is cute, easy to navigate and has all the magic. Whilst there isn’t a ton of new modern things to do, she is perfectly formed and amazingly well maintained (considering she is 26 years old!) the service is absolutely fabulous, I LOVE our cabin, fish extender gifting is the best and the family time and Disney music are filling my soul right up 🥰 there are only 1700 passengers in this cruise and only 160 kids! Plus there are still 1100 crew so we really are being well looked after!

🇨🇦🍁VANCOUVER PART 2 🍁🇨🇦

What a wholesome day 🥰 we’re staying at the Pan Pacific here in Vancouver which overlooks Canada Place (the Port of Vancouver) and waking up to this view is such a lovely start to the day! We headed downstairs to Flyover Canada, it’s very similar to Soarin at Disney, so Henry was excited but Jack was really nervous. But as soon as it started he loved it! It took us over Canada and it was absolutely beautiful. Well worth a visit if you’re here!

We then headed out on the Skytrain to our friends place, we jumped on at Waterfront station which is literally opposite the hotel, and hung out and had more baby cuddles for the afternoon (more in stories!) Matt & I met on my first cruise ship contract in 2007 and have stayed besties ever since, having friends spread all over the world can be tough but it sure does make reunions all the more sweet 🥰

Tomorrow is a big day…. ITS EMBARKATION DAY! I “wonder” what we’ll think of our first Disney cruise? I “wonder” what time she’ll arrive? I “wonder” whether we’ll get any sleep waiting for her to pull in?! In case you haven’t guessed, we’ll be sailing on the Disney Wonder 😂

🍁🇨🇦 VANCOUVER 🇨🇦🍁

After a very good nights sleep (that because of jet lag saw us awake at 5am 😂) we had the BEST day in Vancouver! We only have 2 days/3 nights here before we board our 1st ever the Disney Wonder (it’s taking us to Hawaii 🌺🥹) so wanted to make the most out of our stay!

It was recommended we do the Quarry Rock Hike at Deep Cover in North Vancouver, it was a tough 4km+ hike through the forest (it’s only supposed to be 3km but I took us on a wrong turn and I made it significantly harder than it needed to be 😂) but it was well worth the epic views at the top. We could even see the city!

We had some lunch in Deep Cove and watched the kayakers head out before coming back to the hotel for a swim and a chilled evening. I still can’t get over that we’re here to board a Disney cruise! We’ve been wanting to do this for years and purposely waited for this specific cruise, it does that feel real at all!

We have 1 more day in Vancouver before it’s Embarkation Day!

✨🌺 TRAVEL DAY! 🌺✨

After 5 years of planning my absolute dream trip, we’re finally on our way! Yesterday saw us fly ✈️ from London Heathrow -> Seattle 🇺🇸 then drive 🚘 across the border to Vancouver 🇨🇦!

We have 3 nights in Vancouver before we board our VERY 1ST Disney Cruise, because the Disney Wonder is taking us to HAWAII!
We will be sticking around Hawaii for a couple of weeks to explore all 4 main islands, with some extra Disney magic thrown in there at Disney’s Aulani 🥹

Travel Day was interesting because of the cyber attack at Heathrow 🙈 more of that on the vlog (we made the flight but we took off an hour late) but the flight was great (we slept a lot, the plane was freezing and I think it made us all sleepy!) we definitely noticed that have upped their service levels, there were extra meals, snacks and even sweets brought around the cabin!
Seattle-Tacoma Airport was a beautiful modern new airport and strangely you collect your luggage before customs! But it worked great and we even managed to use the MPC CPB app to skip the customs queue which was fabulous! (More on the vlog on that).

We then drove the 3 hours drive to Vancouver, which was great, until the sun went down and we were so tired but we made it awake, alive and well! We had an easy check in to our lovely room at the although it was 10pm so we couldn’t make out too much of the view. We promptly showered and slept like babies until 5am! Not too bad!

Watch out for my next post of what we get up to in Vancouver, we were blessed with beautiful weather today and made the most of it 🥰🥹

🏜️ ARCHES NATIONAL PARK 🏜️

I’m pretty sure the photos speak for themselves but Moab, Arches National Park & Potash Road are UNREAL. It feels like a different planet, the landscape is so vast and honestly like thing else we’ve really seen before!

It’s a 3 hr drive from Salt Lake City through canyons and huge open spaces, but nothing could have prepared us for this! The boys were climbing up rocks, finding dinosaur footprints (real ones!) and loving the little hikes we took (it was 90F so we only did 10-15 min walks).

This trip has made us want to explore more of the US National Parks, they’re set up so well, driving through them is so easy to navigate and so easy to stop and admire the view! The bucket list gets bigger and bigger…..!

🏔️SUNDANCE & ALPINE LOOP ROAD⛰️

One of our favourite things we found in Utah was the Alpine Loop Road! It takes you through the Provo & American Fork Canyons, through the Uinta National Forest and gives epic views of the Wasatch Mountains, it totally took us by surprise and honestly, it blew my mind 🤯

I think we loved it so much because it was a complete surprise! We were headed to Sundance ski resort to ride the gondola to the top of the mountain (8250ft above sea level and it was awesome to ride!) but I hadn’t considered how amazing the drive itself would be.
It has a beautiful river that runs through it with waterfalls, little rapids and you can even ride rip boats or ringos for the 2 hour trip down the river itself!
There are lay-bys everywhere to pull over and sit and enjoy the river.
But it’s the views that did it for me!

✨🇺🇸 VEGAS → SALT LAKE CITY 🇺🇸✨

Day two was every bit as epic as travel day! We were awake with the sunrise and watched it rise above the mountains from our epic hotel room view!

We headed to the vegas sign for some snaps and a elvis impersonator there told us we had to visit Valley of Fire State Park, so we headed to for breakfast and planned our day around a stop in the Valley of Fire!

Day two was our day to drive up to Salt Lake City in Utah and had already planned to drive through but .of.fire seemed like a must do so we figured out the 11 hour total drive and set off!

Was it a long day? Yes. Was it worth it? YES. I vlogged the whole day because it was incredible! What an adventure 🤩

In this vlog we eat alllll the cute Disney snacks, we have early park pass entry again, ride our favourite rides that are unique to , also we check out of Disneys Explorers Lodge and into the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel!

We also give a breakdown of what we’d do differently next time, which access passes are worth it, what are absolute must do’s and what you can probably give a miss. We talk about how long you need at HK Disneyland and which hotel you should stay at!

Stef & I had such an amazing couple of days in this beautiful, relaxed and oh so magical park! There will be a Hong Kong & Disneyland Shopping Haul vlog next, then a very very special Ancestry vlog… more to come on that very soon….. 😍🥹✨
