One year ago today, the first EVER copies of ‘Don’t Eat Me!’ arrived through the post! I cannot describe the utter joy I felt opening up the box and holding my first published book for the first time. The pride, the sense of accomplishment, the gratitude for everyone involved and how it all came together. Thank you to Ken Morgan for spending months bringing Lemi and all the animals to life and entrancing children with his BEAUTIFUL illustrations. 🎨Thank you to Owen Hughes Holland for spending hours and hours with me editing the scans, putting the text in and then putting it in the right format.💻 It takes much longer than you imagine!!! 😅 Thank you to the amazing Flexpress Ltd in Leicester for printing such high quality copies of the book! 📚 Thank you David Curtlin at Haloprint for scanning the illustrations so well too. 🖨️ Thank you to Annie Colclough and Heidi for helping us sell the book at the book launch in January and to FED, Stratford for holding the launch! 🥂Thank you to my mum, Beryl, and to myself for writing the story as a team and believing in it, persevering through all the obstacles to find the right illustrator and printing company! ✍🏼 Thank you so much to all our wonderful readers over the past year making Lemi feel at home!! 🏡📖 And thank you to Lemi Lizard for capturing the hearts of many children 🦎💚 HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEMI LIZARD! 🥳🎉
