Chippenham Hospital Radio Our output is distributed around the hospital via wifi radios and can also be heard on-line via our website. Everyone involved is a volunteer.

Chippenham Hospital Radio aim's to provide a quality radio service which entertains and informs patients by enhancing their stay in hospital through the provision of request based programmes and local information. Our output around the hospital is heard by over 2,500 local people a month, made up of those on the wards, those who use the hospitals outpatient services and staff. Formed in 1982, the

radio station went on-air in 1983 and became a registered charity in 1985. Members receive a comprehensive training programme before broadcasting, contributing to the high quality of the service. Chippenham Hospital Radio output is primarily based on Adult-orientated pop music (classics & current) and talk. Rap, heavy metal, heavy rock and some dance music is not part of the stations output. The service is widely recognised by healthcare professionals to contribute to the care package provided by hospitals, providing a comfort to those who are in hospital. The charity is a member of the Hospital Broadcasting Association. Get in Touch

🎄Exciting News! Our 2025 Christmas Voucher Scheme opens on Monday 3rd November.🎄

If you live in Chippenham and are on a low income, you may be eligible for a supermarket voucher of between £75 and £175 to help ease the financial pressure of Christmas and rising food and energy costs.

We awarded a total of £46,475 worth of supermarket vouchers supporting over 300 Chippenham households in 2024. The feedback we received showed just how much this support meant:

“The voucher has taken the stress out of Christmas and given us breathing space.”

“I was able to fill my cupboards and get a few Christmas treats for my children.”
