It’s in a hug, a kiss, a smile… and knowing someone is right there beside you.

Vino brings out moments like this every day… pure happiness, companionship and a hug when you need it most ❤️

Because you’re never too old to hug your new best friend 🐴

Uploading a little video of South during one of her recent visits. 🐴❤️

It’s all very tiring work being a therapy horse, you know!! Although, judging by this video, she seems to spend most of her time sleeping! 😴😂

But that’s part of the magic of South. She doesn’t have to do anything extraordinary just being there is enough. ❤️

There’s something so incredibly special about the calm, comfort and companionship she brings. One minute she’s making someone smile, the next she’s quietly snoozing beside them as though she’s known them forever. 🥹🐴

These gentle, peaceful moments might not look like much, but sometimes they’re the moments that mean the most. And seeing South feel so completely relaxed and at home makes them even more precious. ❤️

Therapy horse life is clearly exhausting work… but I think she’s rather good at it! 🥰💤

What do you think….. is South doing some very important therapeutic sleeping, or does she just know how to get away with having a nap at work?! 😂❤️

❤️ “I love you because…” ❤️

Just before we left for the BBC Make a Difference Awards yesterday we had one of those moments that I just have to share with you all.

Whenever we visit Avonmere Care Home, the beautiful Thelma is always waiting for the horses. Our visits are a highlight of her week, and she absolutely loves singing to them.

Today, she sang “I Love You Because” to Vino. 🐴❤️

There was something about the way she looked at her, stroked her and quietly sang those words that stopped us all in our tracks & left tears in our eyes.

No big production, no rehearsals, Just Thelma, Vino, and a song filled with memories… and one of those precious connections between a person and a horse that needs no explanation.

We’re feeling incredibly proud and very grateful.

A huge thank you to everyone who makes what we do possible, the wonderful care homes, schools and businesses that welcome us, and our amazing sponsors and supporters who believe in us and what we do. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

And of course, a very special mention for Vino. 🐴❤️

Vino was our very first therapy horse and has been such a huge part of our journey. She helped us learn, grow and shape what we do into what it is today.

So to see her name there on the award alongside ours feels incredibly special. 🥹🏆

From those early days with Vino to all the visits, smiles, friendships and special moments we now get to share, what a journey it’s been.

We may not have won, but tonight we’re feeling like winners anyway. ❤️

Today’s the day… we’re heading to the BBC Make a Difference Awards! 🥹🏆

Sadly, Vino can’t come with us (I’m not sure they’re quite ready for a horse on the red carpet! 😂🐴), so I had to get a photo with her before we left.

Whatever happens today, just being invited and having the work we do recognised in this way means more than I can put into words.

Every care home visit, every little smile, every song sung to a horse, every person whose day has been made just that little bit brighter, this is for all of them. ❤️
