Sometimes you simply have to bring the happiness to them. ❤️🐴

When we visited, our lovely Richard wasn’t able to get out of bed to come and see Vino.

So, of course, Vino went to see Richard instead. ❤️

There was something so special about watching the two of them together. No fuss, nothing staged, just Richard and his carers enjoying a little time with Vino right there beside his bed.

It’s moments like this that remind us why what we do means so much. Sometimes a visit doesn’t have to be big or complicated to make someone’s day a little brighter. 🥰

And Vino certainly wasn’t going to let a bed get in the way of saying hello! 🐴💕

Meet Linda ❤️

Linda has had horses in her life for many years, and since moving into a care home, those precious moments with horses have become much harder to come by.

Whenever we visit with the horses, we see that familiar spark return. She comes alive. 🐴❤️

Earlier this year we even took Linda to the Royal Windsor Horse Show, a very special day for a lady who has loved horses for so much of her life.

And just look at her with Vino… the kisses, walking beside her, and gently resting her hand on her neck for connection & balance. 🥹

Some loves really do stay with us for a lifetime. ❤️☀️🐴

A 2026 study published in Scientific Reports by researchers at the University of California, Davis examined how a very short interaction with miniature horses and donkeys affected teenagers’ emotions.

The study included 61 adolescents, including 8 who were reported by their parents to have autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, or both. Each participant completed a single 3-minute interaction with two miniature horses and two miniature donkeys.

The teenagers were randomly assigned to either gently stroke the animals’ backs or give firmer scratches around their necks, while the animals were free to approach, remain with, or walk away from them.

After just 3 minutes, the teenagers as a whole reported feeling calmer, less nervous or anxious, less sad, less lonely, and less excited. Calmness increased from 4.75 to 5.39, while nervousness fell from 2.57 to 1.97, loneliness from 2.05 to 1.59, sadness from 1.62 to 1.33, and excitement from 4.99 to 4.52 on the study’s rating scale.

The way the animals responded also appeared to matter: teenagers who noticed the horses or donkeys displaying lip-wiggling behavior had larger reductions in loneliness, while those who saw an animal voluntarily walk away showed larger reductions in sadness.

Stable dig-out day and fresh bedding! 🐴✨

We put so much thought into our horses’ training, nutrition and care, and a comfortable, restful stable is just as important. Happy, healthy, well-rested horses are better able to work, recover and perform at their best. 💕

Possibly the cutest member of the wedding party… 🐴💍🌸

Yesterday our little four-legged wedding helper had a very important job…. looking beautiful and helping make a special day just that little bit more memorable.

Complete with petal filled baskets, ribbons and plenty of attention, we think the wedding look suited Vino rather well! 💕

It’s always such a privilege to be asked to play a small part in someone’s big day, and we absolutely love creating those little moments that guests will remember.

Happy Monday to all of our lovely followers, new & old! Our horses have a rather special week ahead … 🐴❤️

This week they’ll be attending a wedding, a funeral, and visiting several local care homes.

Three very different occasions, one a celebration, one a final farewell, and others bringing a little happiness and companionship to people’s day.

It’s one of the things we love most about what we do. Our horses can be part of some of life’s happiest moments, some of the hardest, and plenty of lovely moments in between.

They really do get invited everywhere. ❤️
