A first look at our very busy World Book Day! Our whole team is out and about spreading the book love. introduced Holy Trinity School in Chipping to Faith Muntu and The Lost Elephant and some African delicacies this morning! Suzy made some One Worded Hero Rosettes after reading Pablo and the Pleasing Parrot and is up in Haselor, Alcestor introducing Key Stage One at Tudor Grange to some Frog Finds Home inspired sensory fun. All today's schools are twinning with our library projects in Uganda which is incredible. Their generous donations means that we can gift books to communities in Uganda... Exactly what World Book Day is all about!!

Friday catch ups! They are an important part of our week and last Friday's was particularly busy. With World Book Day coming up (tomorrow eek!) the team needed to get all the plans into place. Our whole team is out and about on school visits tomorrow and we can't wait. We are thrilled that the schools also want to twin their libraries with our Kalangala Community Library. Thank you so much, it means that we can purchase more books to help stock up the shelves. There is still a long way to go. Why not arrange an author talk for your school and consider twinning your library too?

Thank you to for having us at your Christmas drinks evening tonight! Chippy news has always been such an integral part of what we do. From our earliest days, they have promoted our books and spread the word about our projects in Uganda. Tonight, we got to meet the whole team, and it was so lovely to put faces to names. Sadly, we were too busy chatting to remember photos inside the town hall, so instead, we had one once we got the giggles outside 🤷‍♀️ what can you do!
