Re painting the boot stripe line 🛳️

When I did this originally 5 years ago I never had it right so now was my chance to correct that. The bottom edge was true and I made the top one equal width above this which was incorrect… we all learn 👨‍🎓

I have now corrected that and set the true top line making the stripe thicker as the hull form turns away at the chine. This makes it a true parallel line when viewed from side on 🟰

I use a laser with the levelling function locked and a camera tripod to make adjustments. To get a true flat line the laser must be at the correct height (not looking up or down on the marks) or else the line will bend upwards 🙂 or downwards 🙃

Once it is right the laser will cross the correct points at the stem, transom and amidships. The we can mask up 🙌

That’s the last of the finishing now, on to fitting installation soon 💪
