Nikon F5 Body 50th Anniversary Model, featured in Nikon Owner Issue 54!

The Nikon F5 50th Anniversary camera is a special model which was made in only very limited numbers (2000 for Japan and 1000 for the rest of the world) commemorating Nikon’s 50th anniversary of camera manufacture! The F5 was fitted with an RGB meter (basically 3 meters working in the Red, Green and Blue ends of the spectrum) and could take the standard multi-meter DP-30, DA-30 Action, DW-30 Waist Level and DW-31 High-Magnification finders and a vast range of focusing screens. On the front of the viewfinder was inscribed the same Nikon logo as adopted in Nikon I, and the back of body was marked with the former company marking of Nippon Kogaku K.K. with the marking for the 50th Anniversary of Nikon Camera. This was the only variation model of the F5.

This beautifully captured sun rays in the clouds are part of our recent photo challenge and became one of our favourite shots. It was taken by Adam Sharp () whose photo grabbed our attention with gorgeously seized contrast of light and dark stormy clouds. It's attractiveness lays in an optimistic emotion it evokes. It just emanates “promise” of something better up ahead. But what do you think?

This shot was taken by Nick Harrison () at Brockwell Park in Lodon. It caught our attention with its theme and the light and darkness play the photographer captured on it . It draws the attention of the viewer and instantly stirrs up imagination into a story, scnece from a film or a theathre play.
