Luxury resort Rosewood Bermuda, has made Patrick Graham the new managing director.

In his new role, Mr Graham will oversee all facets of the hotel’s operations.

A spokesman for the hotel said his leadership will be instrumental in continuing to strengthen the resort’s connection to the local community while guiding its next era of Rosewood innovation.
He joined Rosewood Hotels and Resorts in 2022, most recently serving as hotel manager at Rosewood London, where he led operations at one of the brand’s flagship European properties.

He has also held key pre-opening and interim leadership positions at Rosewood Munich and Rosewood Schloss Fuschl, where he served as opening ambassador and acting managing director.

Rosewood said Mr Graham’s ability to lead high-performing teams through critical phases of hotel development and brand integration has made him a trusted asset across Rosewood’s global portfolio.

“As we look to the future for Rosewood Bermuda, our vision is not only to deliver exceptional guest experiences, but to lead with purpose, deepening our ties to community and culture,” Mr Graham said.

Rosewood Bermuda’s Juniper Initiative was launched last year to support education, sustainability and inclusivity across the island, its habitat and its people.

“This powerful platform allows us to work side by side with local philanthropic organisations,” Mr Graham said, adding that he is committed to evolving the programme to further resonate with today’s conscious travellers.

Throughout his career, Mr Graham has held senior roles at London hotels such as Claridge’s, The Bulgari Hotel and Residences and Nobu Hotel London Portman Square.

A spokesman for the hotel said Mr Graham is known for his ability to balance operational precision with genuine hospitality.

“Mr Graham has consistently delivered elevated guest experiences while fostering long-term relationships with stakeholders and team members alike,” he said.

11 Best Airbnbs in Bermuda for a Dreamy Beach Getaway
The prettiest picks for families, solo travelers, couples, and more.

One of my greatest travel memories is the first time I dug my feet into the blush-colored sand of Bermuda’s Horseshoe Bay Beach. Decades later, I’m still just as awestruck by the pink-hued coastlines of this archipelago some 650 miles east of North Carolina.

But I’ve learned over the years that the island nation has far more to offer than just its prized beaches. It also has excellent places to stay (good news, considering you're probably here looking for an Airbnb in Bermuda), and a treasure trove of natural wonders, including the historic ruins of Southlands National Park, a birdwatching sanctuary at Spittal Pond Nature Reserve, and the intricate Crystal & Fantasy Caves. The African Diaspora Heritage Trail celebrates the nation's Black history, while Carnival festivities every June fill the streets with high-energy parties and live bands. And then there’s the simple charm of the island, best enjoyed at sunset, when rows of pastel-colored homes are aglow, rum swizzle cocktails are served at watering holes, and docks are filled with swimmers ready to take their last dives of the day.

There are plenty of vacation rentals around the island that capitalize on the island's beauty, plentiful activities, and upbeat spirit, many featuring the hallmarks of Bermudian architecture: white limestone roofs, interiors of blue and pale pink, large windows to maximize natural light, and spacious verandas. So whether you're looking for a place to stay along the boutique-lined streets of Hamilton or Southampton's treasured beaches, there's something for you on this list of the best Airbnbs to consider in Bermuda.

BermudAir adds second weekly Charleston-Bermuda flight

An island airline is expanding service from the Lowcountry.

Just in time for the peak summer travel season, BermudAir is expanding from a once-weekly service to a more convenient twice-weekly service, effective Aug. 2.

The new service on Thursdays and Sundays will replace the Saturday flight, according to a news release. The final Saturday flight will operate on Aug. 2, 2025. The twice-weekly seasonal schedule will run through October.

The Thursday and Sunday will operate as follows:

BDA to CHS: 3:15 to 4:45 p.m.
CHS to BDA: 5:45 to 8:55 p.m.
“We’re always listening to our customers and evolving our offerings to suit their needs,” said Adam Scott, Founder & CEO of BermudAir, in the release “With added frequency on this route and new vacation packages available in both directions, travellers now have even more ways to enjoy the best of Bermuda and the Carolinas.”

Bermuda’s Culinary Culture
A taste of the island, past and present.

It’s a truism that to really get to know a place, you should sample the local food. That’s especially accurate of Bermuda, notes Mikaela Ian, a writer and PR professional who has celebrated all aspects of the island’s culinary scene in print and on camera. “Bermuda’s cuisine isn’t just about taste,” she notes. “It’s about history, memory, and identity.”

For Bermuda, identity begins with location, amid an azure ocean that harbors a wealth of fresh seafood, notably rockfish, amberjack, wahoo, and tuna. Meals here often begin with the country’s famous fish chowder, a spicy tomato-based stew seasoned with local accents like Outerbridge’s sherry pepper sauce and a dash of Gosling’s rum.

That dish may be followed by Bermuda’s iconic fish sandwich—a perfectly fried fish fillet topped with cole slaw, a tomato slice, and tartar sauce on raisin bread (with a dash of sherry pepper sauce, of course). Every restaurant has its own rendition, and every islander has their favorite spot to enjoy it. Some of the most renowned versions can be found at off-the-beaten-track Art Mel’s Spicy Dicy, Seaside Grill, Mamma Mia in Hamilton Parish, and Lost In The Triangle in Warwick.

Given Bermuda’s British connections, you won’t be surprised to find pub fare—fish and chips, bangers and mash, or steak and mushroom pie—readily available. But you’ll also discover dishes that reveal African heritage or the Portuguese roots of red bean soup and Azorean octopus stew.

BermudAir Expands With Nonstop Flights to Anguilla
AnguillAir will debut in Baltimore and Boston, with service expected to begin in December

Last year, the startup airline BermudAir looked back on its first year in business with plenty to be happy about. As Edward Russell reported for The Points Guy, the airline expanded its reach within the U.S. and Canada from three airports to seven; its nonstop flights to Bermuda have also received high marks from passengers. Now, it’s expanding yet again — this time with a new destination.

The airline is adding nonstop service from two U.S. cities — Baltimore and Boston — to Anguilla. Instead of keeping the same name, these new flights will take to the skies under the moniker AnguillAir. If all goes as planned, service will begin in December.

BermudAir founder and CEO Adam Scott described this expansion as part of a larger effort to “strengthen island connections, deliver extraordinary service, and create lasting economic value for Bermuda and beyond.”

Is an affordable holiday in Bermuda possible? How to stay budget-conscious on one of the world’s most idyllic islands

Bermuda: home of brightly-coloured shorts, salmon-coloured sand and one seriously mysterious triangle. Brits might also know it for its offshore banking and top-tier sporting events. What it’s not renowned for is being a bargain holiday destination.

Replete with palm-fringed beaches and a nightly tree frog chorus loud enough to defy even the best sound insulation, Bermuda is often confused as being located in the Caribbean. In fact, this fish-hook-shaped archipelago, formed of seven primary islands, lies 1,000 miles north of that colourful collection, floating alone in the Atlantic Ocean like a last puzzle piece lost beneath the sofa.

For many, it’s a popular travel spot. In 2024, the total number of visitors arriving by air had almost returned to pre-pandemic levels, while the average spend per person was $2,151, shelled out over roughly nine days. That cost is in addition to forking out for airfares, which can average a few hundred pounds more expensive than flights from the UK to Caribbean islands.
