Sidney Sussex needs you 🫵

If you see any pot holes in Sidney Sussex please can you comment below, the road and closest house number for us to get it reported. We are aiming to check as many roads as possible over the next few weeks but we need your help to get them all checked! If you could check the road you live it would be a huge help!

Thank you 🌹

🌲 Tree reports

After a concern for lack of action by a resident in regards to trees being maintained by the council I found that there is 30! Yes 30 requests by residents that have been unanswered some dating over a year ago. I have emailed the head of the department asking about this and will update you all when I get a response.

🌹 What a week! I've been very busy this week with all things council and community related. From helping out at an amazing community group, doing some prep work to hand out more funding, reported to the relevant cabinet members the fire in Sussex Rec on Tuesday asking why gates are still not being locked and best of all I got the opportunity to present my first motion to full council since being elected.

It didn't go without problems but it got passed and now a review into permit parking with the goal to make it more accessible and affordable for residents is about to begin. I'm off to enjoy my Sunday now and take a well earned break.
