👀 Something big just landed at Kew Gardens!

We teamed up with our content partners at Palma Studio to get something very special in place in the brand new Carbon Garden 🍃

Integrating Palma Studio’s enchanting, educational content into our custom VR binoculars, we’ve created an immersive journey through the hidden layers of plant life.

Peering through the binoculars, you’ll be able to see the unseen. Peel back the layers of nature and uncover the incredible hidden processes that help our plants grow, thrive, and capture carbon 🌱✨

The Zubr team had an incredible time visiting the reality emulator at the brand-new Bristol Digital Futures Institute! 🚀

We ran some of our VR portfolio projects on their cutting-edge setup, exploring how realistic 1:1 scenarios can empower better decision-making and help shape future visioning across industries.

Huge thanks to University of Bristol for having us - the future of immersive tech is looking brighter than ever! ✨

👀 Peek first, pay later! 🚢✨

To help boost visitor numbers and showcase the full SS Great Britain experience, we teamed up with the Brunel's SS Great Britain Trust to install our weatherproof, gaze-activated VR binoculars right in the heart of Bristol.

Instead of a harbour view, curious passers-by are surprised with a VR treasure hunt of the site’s hidden gems - from ship decks to dockyards - brought to life through stereoscopic photos, colourful video hotspots, and immersive storytelling.

With intuitive controls and a fully virtual setup, this hands-on experience lets visitors see the adventures that await them before stepping aboard.

Whilst everyone’s packing for summer holidays, Team Zubr is packing up for more site visits! ☀️🕶️

Next month, we’ll be heading to Ipswich, where we’re preparing for an upcoming installation of our immersive binoculars - but first, here’s a quick look back at some of our travels!

Our passports have been busy! ✈️🌍 From European adventures in Athens and Ven, to projects closer to home in Wales and Northern Ireland, every trip gives us new perspectives to fuel our creativity. Each location brings unique stories, textures, and atmospheres that our team captures to craft truly authentic AR & VR experiences.

From ancient ruins in Athens, to serene Scandinavian islands, and rugged Welsh landscapes, these journeys help us blend history with immersive tech - always with precision, 3D artistry, and a love for the real-world details.

Stay tuned for more updates! 👀

Future visioning with future thinkers 💻🔮

We’re excited to support a summer work experience session at Knowle West Media Centre, led by our partners at University of Bristol and supported by Arup. Over the past two weeks, young attendees had the opportunity to imagine designs for the future public realm on Filwood Broadway - using the Future Places Toolkit we’ve been refining over months of R&D.

Big thanks to artist, Jasmine Shanice ( on Instagram) for bringing her unique painterly flair to the project 🎨

At Zubr, we’re passionate about using immersive tech to explore better futures - and even more so when young creatives are leading the way 💡 We can’t wait to hear how the sessions went!

🌀 Immersive artwork with a difference 🌀

Our Art Director, Chris Price recently consulted on a powerful project with artist Alison Larkman, which demonstrates how an art installation can support those living with chronic illness and make their voices heard.

Alison’s initiative, titled I Would be Here if I Could, allows visitors to step inside a mirrored box and ‘disappear’, in order to understand life with chronic fatigue syndrome and long Covid. An additional layer is formed by audio messages from ME and long Covid patients explaining why a particular location is special to them, and why their condition means they cannot be there in person themselves.

Chris’s consultation on the project explores how the physical, in-person experience of the Mirrorbox can be made more accessible through immersive technology, utilising immersive tools to allow those living with chronic conditions to access the art installation virtually.

Zubr are proud to support this brilliant artwork - now the UK’s largest collaborative social art project - which aligns with our goal to make immersive spaces more accessible, inclusive, and nourishing for those who are often excluded from physical and cultural spaces.

This beautiful, sensory installation has already popped up in Bristol and Glastonbury, with more updates to come 📍

🧠 Step into a virtual crime scene - and into the world of Artificial Wisdom! 🧑‍💻

We partnered with Limina Immersive and Transworld Books to create an industry-first VR experience that brings Thomas R. Weaver, Author’s debut sci-fi thriller to life.

At CapitalCrime festival, over 2,000 attendees had the opportunity to try the experience, exploring the futuristic penthouse of Martha Chandra to hunt for clues and uncover the truth behind her murder - all in virtual reality!

This immersive narrative experience offers a bold new approach to literary marketing, inviting festival goers to immerse themselves in the sci-fi world of the novel. By donning a VR headset reminiscent of the ‘neuroreality’ concept in the novel, users were able to connect with Weaver’s characters in an entirely new way.

Throwing it back to all things festival 🎪🎤

Looking back to 2019 and the boundary-breaking moment we partnered with the ethereal Aisha Devi at Simple Things Festival - Bristol. We delivered a 5G-powered, multi-user VR experience to accompany Devi’s track, I Am Not Always Where My Body Is, which captured the artist in volumetric video and reimagined her as a holographic avatar.

Together with Crack Magazine, Team Love Productions, and the Smart Internet Lab at University of Bristol, we invited festival-goers to step beyond the body into a shared sonic dreamscape - one where spatial audio, real-time motion, and identity blurred across physical and digital realms.

With over 150 participants throughout the day and just 10m by 10m of real-world space, we were proud to share a unique journey into immersive music performance 🔮✨
