10 Side hustles you can do from your own bed
Yes, really. In your PJs (from This is me Boutique). With a cuppa. While binge-watching Netflix. 😍

Not every hustle needs hustle, you know? If you’ve got a phone, a bit of WiFi, and the motivation to earn extra cash without even brushing your hair, this one’s for you 👇

1. Affiliate Marketing
Share links, get paid. We’ve earned commission from just recommending stuff we actually use. Blogs, social media, even WhatsApp groups - it all works. Want to try it? We’ve even written an eBook on it.

2. Print-on-Demand (POD)
Design once, earn forever. Upload artwork or sassy quotes onto mugs, t-shirts or tote bags using platforms like Redbubble or Printful. When someone buys, you get a cut.

3. Freelance Writing / Proofreading
Got a way with words? There are businesses crying out for blogs, emails and proofreading. Sign up to sites like Fiverr or Upwork, or pitch directly.

4. Online Tutoring
You don’t need to be a teacher, just good at something. Whether it’s GCSE maths or how to use Excel, people will pay to learn from you. Especially parents also stuck in bed hiding from their kids.

5. Selling Digital Downloads
Etsy is full of people buying planners, CV templates, kids’ reward charts and more. Create once, sell forever.

6. Amazon Review Videos
This one’s newish, but big. Upload short review videos for Amazon products. If someone watches your video and buys, you get a little payday. We’re trying this one ourselves very soon.

7. Virtual Assistant
Be someone’s organisational angel from the comfort of your duvet. Answer emails, manage calendars, do research - all remotely.

8. Stock Photography (from your phone!)
If you’ve got a good eye and a decent phone camera, upload your pics to sites like Shutterstock or Adobe Stock. You get paid every time someone downloads one.

9. Voiceover Work
Got a soothing, sassy or interesting voice? Record audio for ads, audiobooks, explainer videos etc. from under the covers with a cheap mic and free software like Audacity.

10. Online Surveys / Cashback Apps
OK, it’s not mega money but it is money. Apps like Prolific or Swagbucks pay you for surveys, and cashback sites like Quidco or TopCashback reward you for stuff you were buying anyway.

We’ve just hit 12,000 members in our Facebook group Money making ideas - by Side Hustlers!

When we started this group, it was just a little side project between two tired parents trying to find a few extra ways to make some money online. Fast forward to now, and we’re sat here staring at a community of 12,000 people from all over the world, all hungry to take control of their income, time and future.

If you’re one of those people, thank you. Whether you’ve been active in the group sharing ideas, asking questions, or just lurking in the background soaking up information, you’re part of what makes this group so special.

This is only the beginning. We’re about to relaunch our site and finally start doing what we always intended to do. We’ll be trying out real side hustles ourselves and giving honest reviews, sharing what worked, what flopped, and whether it’s worth your time. If there’s an affiliate link in there, you’ll know it’s because we genuinely tried it and think it’s decent. If it was rubbish, we’ll say that too.

We’ll also be sending out weekly emails packed with side hustle reviews, tips and ideas, so we’ll be starting to collect emails very soon.

If you’ve ever wanted to make a bit of extra money on the side but didn’t know where to start, this group is where you’ll find the ideas, the support and the people who get it.

🎄 5 Festive Side Hustle Ideas To Try This Christmas 🎄

Hey Side Hustlers! Carla & Lee here 👋

With Mariah defrosting and the kids already rattling off Christmas lists longer than our weekly food shop receipt, it’s time to talk side hustles Christmas edition!

Because if there’s ever a time of year we could do with a few extra quid in our pockets, it’s now. Between Elf on the Shelf accessories (why are they £££?!) and stocking fillers that add up quicker than we expect, a festive side hustle could be your golden ticket.

So here are 5 Christmassy ways you can earn a little extra this season:

🎁 1. Sell Christmas Hampers or Gift Boxes
Pop to B&M, Home Bargains or your local wholesaler and create themed boxes such as Hot Chocolate Night In, Movie Night, Pamper Kit. Sell them on Facebook Marketplace, Etsy or local groups. Get the kids involved with packing too!

🎅 2. Become a Christmas Personal Shopper
Loads of people hate shopping, especially at Christmas. Offer your services locally to help them find gifts, wrap them up and even deliver them. Post in community groups or try Nextdoor.

📸 3. Make Money with Amazon Product Videos (UGC)
We’re actually trying this one ourselves at the moment! If you’ve bought anything from Amazon recently, review it with a short video and you could earn commission when people buy it. (We’ll write up a full blog on this soon, promise!)

🎄 4. Offer Wrapping Services
If you’re a pro wrapper (not the musical kind – unless you are, in which case… collab?), people will pay to have their presents beautifully wrapped. Perfect if you’re creative and a bit of a perfectionist.

🕯️ 5. Make & Sell Handmade Decorations or Candles
Crafty? Knock up some Christmas tree ornaments, personalised baubles or soy candles and sell them on Etsy or at Christmas markets. Loads of people love handmade this time of year.

Bonus Tip: If you’re trying any of these, take photos and share your experience in the group. You never know, your little side hustle could inspire someone else, and you might even bag a few sales from fellow members!

We speak to a lot of people who say the same thing:

“I really want to start something. I just don’t know what.”

Here’s the truth. You don’t need the perfect idea to start. You just need the right kind of idea for the stage you’re at.

Try using this filter to narrow things down:

1. Do you need money fast, or are you playing the long game?
If it’s fast cash you’re after, try something like user interviews, mystery shopping or flipping items online.
If you’re building something longer term, affiliate marketing or digital products are worth exploring.

2. Do you want to show your face, or stay behind the scenes?
Some people love being on camera. Others want to stay anonymous and work in the background. Both can work. Know what feels right for you.

3. Do you want to sell a product, or offer a service?
Products can become passive. Services are great for cash flow. If you can solve a problem, you’ve got a service. If you can package knowledge, you’ve got a product.

4. Do you want freedom, or structure?
Some side hustles give you flexibility. Others tie you to specific hours or deadlines. Choose what suits your life right now.

The point is, the best side hustle is the one that fits your energy, your time and your goals.

So if you’re in the “I want to start but don’t know what to do” phase, that’s OK.
