Drummers!

We have fitted all our rehearsal room kits with Not Nuts cymbal sleeves — these clever little things keep hold of your cymbals without the need for felts and wing nuts. Just slide your cymbals on when you arrive and you're good to go.

Just like every other normal cymbal sleeve, they stop metal-on-metal contact between your cymbals and stands to prevent keyholing.

They are a small detail that we think will make a big difference, and we’re seriously impressed with how well they do the job.

Big shout out to No Nuts Percussion for making something so simple yet so effective! 👏

A new look for the lobby area at Unit One Studios 😍

I have wanted to modernise the space for a while now but it also had to be durable and hard wearing to allow for the little bumps and scratches that inevitably happen, especially in a place like this with bands carrying heavy gear in and out every day.

And I'm very happy with the result!

There are a lot of exciting things going on in the background here at the studio! Keep an eye out for more news to come!

Found some time today to give the rehearsal rooms some TLC, looking good 🤩

It's been a busy year so far with plenty of recording, teaching and rehearsals taking place.

A massive thanks to the lovely guys at Ashdown for the upgrades!

The old Evo iii bass amps had a long life but after a few breakdowns and a few repairs, we ultimately decided it was time to retire the old and bring in the new.

The 9 band EQ's on these new Evo IV heads are a great addition, I've already had plenty of compliments from the bassists that frequently use the studio space.

Today is the first taster day for Voxygen in Mersea, we'll be there supporting the session as part of the band.
