We're back! After a three month break, Alternative Colchester returns with season two. Tim and Steve are joined live from California by Philip Peters of 1978 punk band The Roomates (Yes one m!!). After a three month “off season” Alternative Colchester is back for Season Two. We will be recording episode one this afternoon for release on Spotify and Apple Music etc early next week. The football chat will be out of date by then but the music definitely won’t be. The Roomates’ Philip Peters will be joining us from San Francisco to talk about punk in the late 70’s in his area and we will be playing some of his favourite tracks from the era as well as one of his / their own. Stiff Little Fingers will get an obligatory blast as per every episode to date and other artists we will be playing include Magazine, Wire, Stranglers, Buzzcocks, Professionals and Psychedelic Furs amongst others.
