Just over 25 years ago, I started entertaining around the country — from private parties to holiday parks — and what a journey it has been.
I started at just 14 years old doing my very first children’s football presentation in Mancot with contact cars taking me to my gigs. then moved on to the Deeside Ice Rink, where Carl Lewis first gave me my opportunity. From there, I met Paul Johnson and Peter Ian Venables. Those three people helped shape the career I’ve had, and I honestly can’t thank them enough for where I am today. And my mum Angie Minkowski taking me to my gigs when I was 15 upwards.
For over 25 years, I’ve never looked back.
However, after a lot of thought, I’ve now made the decision to cut back on children’s parties and focus on my new adventure in the travel industry, alongside our new taxi business with my business partner Carl Lewis Jnr. The taxi business is getting busier and busier with bookings now, Shotton Travel
I’ve already had to turn down so many children’s parties this year because I simply can’t commit to daytime events anymore.
This new venture means a lot to me because it’s going to become part of my children’s future too. It’s going to be a true family-run business with my wife Steff Ford-foyne my father Geoffrey Foyne my stepmom Carol Foyne and two amazing ladies who have supported us massively behind the scenes and continue to help us every day.

I’ll still be doing discos and singing in the evenings, so this definitely isn’t goodbye to entertainment completely. But after years of travelling all over the place — no wonder I’ve gone through so many vehicles 😂 — I know this is the right decision for me and my family.
I’ve received messages from parents saying their children wanted me as their entertainer, and honestly, that means the world to me. I want to thank every single person who has booked me over the years for children’s birthdays, parties, The memories and support have been incredible. And I do miss the campsites. 🙈😂
I’ve now got a 5-year plan in place, and I’m excited for this next chapter. One thing I’ve always loved is helping people, and being in the travel industry gives me the opportunity to continue doing exactly that — putting smiles on people’s faces.
I’ve already learned so much through training, late nights studying, and dedicating myself to building something special for the future. The support from family and friends has been overwhelming, and I truly appreciate every single one of you.
