The Mystery of William Stoker, a foreman from Consett, County Durham, who fell to his death while restoring Ireland’s tallest church spire in 1883.

A Night for Change is happening this Saturday at Shotley Bridge Cricket Club, from 2pm to 6pm, in support of Maya’s Law.

This special community event honours the memory of two-year-old Maya Chappell and supports a growing campaign to improve child protection across the UK. The day will feature local stalls, raffles, mystery bags and more, bringing people together for a vital cause.

Maya’s Law calls for stronger communication between agencies, improved safeguarding for children in informal care, and real accountability across schools, health and social services.

Everyone is welcome. Come along, sign the petition, make a donation, and help keep Maya’s voice at the heart of this campaign for change.
