Delighted to be chosen as finalist for the Go Cruise North Wales of the Year Award, but already panicking about having to get a new dress! Or can I wear last year’s, or the one from the year before…? 🙈😂. I don’t like clothes shopping, I’d rather shop for tools… Thank you all for your support during a very busy season where I calculated I’d introduced over 1800 cruise guests to the delights of North Wales. I feel honoured to share all that is Wales and Welsh. Diolch o galon ❤️

Calan Gaeaf - dwy daith Plas Penrhyn - son am le arbennig i weithio! Two Halloween tours at Penrhyn Old Hall done bilingually. What a superb location for a spooky tour. Massive amount of work to set up the venue, plotting and props, but worth every minute for the fun! Thanks to Penrhyn Old Hall for all the help with the plotting…🎃😁

Mountain life in North Wales. Came back in from putting hens to bed to find Sgip in the window looking out for me, would only settle to his supper when I walked in the door. Nel? Had scoffed hers and was chilled out by the fire … A day of itinerary planning done and dusted. Delicious and all the trimmings.

A taste of Conwy. New friends made whilst visiting friends of old on a Food Tour. Cheese, chocolates, Welshcakes, pies and beer - what’s not to like? And of course sharing the story of what makes Conwy so special. Iechyd da! Thanks to Wendy at for a wonderful selection of Welsh cheeses, , Edwards of Conwy for their Welsh Oggie, ’sConwy for a tasty welcome with a view. Mark and Emma for their fun stories and delectable chocs at Baravellis, and John at Albion Ale House for quenching our thirst at the end of the tour. Delicious day 😁

This is rural Cymru/Wales. I wish I could share the beautiful aroma of woodsmoke with you all. Bats circling the bwthyn (cottage). Owls calling. A fox in the distance. Hens settled for the night. Dogs and cats in and snuggerly by the fire. A mist rolling in earlier, making it seem so very remote. Just how I like it…

Happy 4th anniversary to the little bwthyn I point out to every single guest at Conwy Castle, and any coach tours anywhere in the area. Changed a bit since I moved here in October 2021 👀. These stones were set to be in line with the sunrise on the anniversary of moving in. But it was done in the following spring, so a lot of head scratching and stone lugging, calculations made, using a hosepipe and photos for alignment. It worked a treat 👌. First had land on this mountain over 32 years ago. Felt at home instantly, and four years ago I moved into my dream cottage. I explain to my wonderful guests that “I am in this landscape and this landscape is in me”. Feeling the gratitude and love towards the wonderful couple that entrusted me with this special place, and those who cared for it previously. Many cottages in such rural locations are now a mere shell - thank goodness this was saved to be a much loved home. Diolch ❤️

A stretchy welcome on my return after giving an evening lecture, a morning lecture and two days of exploring with this amazing group of ladies from all over the US. Thank you all, including Paul and Kevin, our drivers, group leader Jill, and all the staff at in Betws y coed, Conwy Castle, Plas Mawr, Ffestiniog Railway and Caernarfon Castle, for looking after us 👌🥰 What’s not to like as they say…

Love arriving home after another great day guiding out of Caergybi. Beautiful ship, brilliant guests. What’s not to like! Several of my guests said they’d love to come back and spend more time in Cymru (Wales). That’s always my mission 😁. Wmffra heard me crossing the fields on my walk home. Martha? Must be out exploring. Now to fetch the shopping… 😂
