A couple of years ago, if you’d told me I’d be talking about building an online income alongside my beauty business, I’d probably have laughed.
Not because I didn’t want more freedom in my week, but if I’m completely honest it would have been because I worried what people would think.
Whether people would think I’d completely lost the plot.
But eventually I realised something…
The people watching weren’t living my life, and actually wouldn’t really care either way what I was up to.
And whilst I loved my beauty business, I knew I didn’t want every single pound I earned to depend on how many hours I could fit into my diary.
I didn’t want to just work back to back clients, longer days, and a busier schedule.
What I actually wanted was more space.
More school runs.
More beach walks with Scarlet.
More Monday Pilates.
More time with Freddie and Ruby.
More freedom to choose how I spend my week.
So I made a decision.
To stop focusing on what other people might think, and start focusing on the life I wanted to create.
Not overnight or with some magic shortcut.
Just by consistently building something alongside what I was already doing.
Time will pass anyway so you can spend it wishing things were different or you can spend it building something that gives you more options, more flexibility, and more freedom in the future.
