We stand with Youth Music to

Youth Music have funded Resonate over the past 4 years.

Now, they have a call to arms fundraising campaign for £1 million to address the funding crisis.

They will match every pound raised up to £1 million to create a total of £2 million.

With this money they can continue to help fund meaningful creative projects throughout the UK.

It’s been a while since we released the first Powerhouse Sessions back in 2023! We’re so excited to announce the series is making a return 🎉

We have been working hard with some incredible artists and musicians from the local music scene and beyond, to bring you amazing performances, recorded live at Powerhouse Studios!

The next instalment showcases , an indie rock band hailing from Coventry. Taking influence from bands such as Nirvana, Arctic Monkeys & Queens of the Stone Age 🎸

We still can’t get over the amazing time we all had at the Youth Music Awards. Organisations like Youth Music are essential to grassroots music, providing young people a space to explore and develop their musicality, we are very grateful to be able to work on and deliver projects such as Resonate. 💜

🔆ARTIST SPOTLIGHT⬇️

💫 Gina Meredith () is a 26-year-old singer and based in London. She is just doing covers for today but she has new releases coming out at the end of July. She would describe her own music as pop/ alternative. She likes to write happy melodies with meaningful and sometimes melancholy lyrics.

⚡️DJ Gladstone (.cov) is a young DJ from the city of Coventry, he loves sharing music he enjoys to new crowds and bringing the energy!

🎨 Eliza May () — With her bubbly personality, iconic colourful hair and contagiously catchy tunes, Birmingham’s indie pop queen Eliza May stands out from the crowd. Using intricate harmonies and captivating melodies, Eliza’s unique vibe is refreshing the scene. 2023 saw Eliza release her highly anticipated EP “Candy Heart”. Taking inspiration from artists such as Paramore, Fickle Friends, Olivia Dean and The Wombats, this EP encompasses all the sugar sweet highs and sour lows you feel when truly falling in and out of love.

🌞Serena Jasmine () — Free-flowing into different directions, West Midlands-based Serena Jasmine constantly seeks to express her experiences and emotions through music.
Having released her debut EP, named Rerooting, Serena’s journey has only just gotten started. As she continues to delve into the presence of truth and love, you’ll soon hear more of her articulation through a variety of sounds.

💜 DJ Grace () is a vinyl and digital DJ from Coventry, playing Hip Hop, Funk, Soul and Disco tunes.

🙌 Skatta () is a special kind of artist, with a passion for his art form and a distinctive sound that sets him apart. Having collaborated with French, American and British singers, rappers and producers, Skatta is laying down tracks for a new generation... and the music industry is listening up.

⚡️Rafferty DJ () is a 13 year old passionate House DJ and music producer from Coventry. His 2024 goal was to play a set at Godiva! He is a multi instrumentalist and is currently working towards his grade 8 drum exam. His ultimate dream is to become a professional DJ and play in Ibiza.

🔥 KAP ft. DJ Newtown ( & ) is an English rapper on the scene in ‘UK Rap and DnB’ - She has composed several songs, including her latest project ‘Mindset’ with plenty more tracks released onto streaming platforms. She began her music career in the local community after being invited to perform at Godiva Festival, followed by a DnB in Birmingham and was part of the FITY project and performed live at HMV Empire in Coventry. KAP’s music looks through the lens of a young woman navigating the complexities of the 21st century, exploring raw emotions with honesty and optimism in a refreshing ‘come at me if you dare’ approach. Expressing through her different styles of music the emotions that come with life.

🔊Introducing our artist line up on the Powerhouse Youth Zone Resonate Stage on Day 1 — Ranger, Swift Café Junction, Lucent, Sweet Caporal, Zaruna and The Caroline Bomb🥳

🌅 Ranger () is an experimental solo project open to all genres for the purpose of ambitious composition and lyrical message.

☕️ Swift Café Junction () is an alternative band who play an eclectic mix of acoustic and electronic instruments, with a focus on songs that carry a strong narrative.

⚡️Lucent (.west) is a grunge and metal band with loads of energy. They have been together for 2 years. Their inspirations are Black Sabbath, van hallen and Metallica.

🦋 Sweet Caporal () is a Leamington/London based 4 piece creating a concept album sampling the recordings of Evan Doorbell and his friends, who recorded demonstrations of the mechanisms of public and home telephones in the 70s. Their music is a mixture of country, folk and post rock that plays off the lofi sound of our tape recording setup.

💥Zaruna () is an energetic three piece alternative rock band.

💣 The Caroline Bomb () is a garage-punk outfit from the heart of Cov Town bringing explosive high energy Indie-Punk that will make you dance.
