Update on the Town House project.

Things are progressing for Cowdenbeath Town House

Work is moving on well inside the building. The strip-out is complete, damaged timber has been repaired, and the first phase of electrical work is already underway.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll start to notice even more happening. Scaffolding will go up outside so important repairs can be carried out, while inside the team will be installing a new attic floor, along with plastering, decorating, joinery and more electrical and mechanical work.

All of this is helping transform the Town House into a welcoming space for local people, which will be run by BRAG Enterprises, who will be providing affordable enterprise office space as well as offering a range of community‑focused services including a café, meeting and event spaces, a community radio station, with the venue also being available for wedding ceremonies. They also plan to showcase the heritage of the town and its people with pictures and displays.

🌟 Crosshill Community Enterprise Centre's Free Family Fun Day Hosted by BRAG Enterprises
Sunday 7th June 2026 / 11am-3pm 🌟🌟

We have another Fantastic Family Day coming up and we are looking for Stall Holders to come and take advantage of a huge crowd coming to our event.

Stall Holders - we are looking to rent out to anyone who would benefit from a minimum footfall of 600-800 people and show off your business or information.

We will provide a Gazebo and a Table, so all you need to do is get here and enjoy the fun!

Bouncy Castles / Stalls / Entertainment / Food Face painters / plus much more...

Community Growing Garden @ BRAG / open with a wide range of activities on offer for the kids to get involved in.

🗳️ 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱.

🥰 Firstly, a big thank you to each and every person who took the time to vote for me and show your support - I am truly grateful.

🔵 On this occasion, I was unsuccessful. I achieved 2201 votes, which is 8.1% of the vote share. For full results, please visit the comment section.

❓ So what now? Well, nothing changes, I remain a Councillor for the Cowdenbeath Ward and will continue in post until the local elections next May.

➡️ At this stage, I cannot confirm if I will stand once again. However, what I can say is that I will continue to be a committed local representative and strong community champion for the remainder of this term.

😊 While I cannot promise to achieve desired outcomes, I can promise to continue to work tirelessly to support and assist residents, community groups, charities, and businesses, and to do everything I can to resolve local issues and concerns.

👏 Finally, congratulations to David Barratt on being duly elected as the member of the Scottish Parliament for the Cowdenbeath Constituency. I look forward to a positive and productive working relationship.
