A week ago today…

…. the doors to the Wealden Times Midwinter Fair opened and the magic of the season truly began. ✨

What a whirlwind of sparkly lights, beautiful finds, festive flavours and the most wonderful community of visitors and exhibitors. 🫶

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s Fair one to remember. From special gifts to inspiring makers, there were so many moments worth savouring.

WT’s, Sarah, recently joined a weaving workshop with textile artist Louise Duval …. and came home with this lovely hand-woven scarf. ✨

Louise trained as a textile designer in South Africa and now works from her studio in Kent, where she creates beautifully crafted, sustainable pieces for home and wardrobe. Her approach blends artistry and simplicity, producing durable scarves, throws and accessories that echo the charm of handmade tradition.

Letting the loom do its magic for a morning, Sarah discovered the calm pleasure of weaving and the joy of transforming threads into something tactile and personal. 💛

Three days of full-on festive fun, shopping and discovery at the Wealden Times Midwinter Fair ✨

A huge thank you to our brilliant exhibitors, all our visitors, the behind-the-scenes crew and the school choirs whose carols filled the marquees. Your stands, your laughter and your festive spirit made this shopping event truly special…. and the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season. 🎄
