COMMUNITY SHOUT-OUT: Mick the Chip retires from Chippy and Social Club.

Everyone here at The Cat Radio wishes both Mick the Chips and his wife Jean, the very best in their retirement. The contribution that they have made on the community of Willaston and beyond, is massive and locals will always be of thanks to them both.

All the very best!

It’s with mixed emotions that we announce Mick the Chip’s departure—not only is he stepping down as chairman of the club, but he and Jean are also retiring from the chippy.

Mick isn’t just known as the chairman or Mick the Chip; he truly embodies the spirit of Willaston. His contributions to the village have been immense, and he’s always been there to help anyone in need. Mick will be greatly missed by all.

To show our appreciation for everything he and Jean have done, we’re hosting a farewell party on December 5th. We invite everyone to join us celebrate them and saying thank you!
