🎤 STRUGGLING WITH A HIGH NOTE?
Try singing the difficult phrase quietly first.
Many singers instinctively add more volume when a note feels high, but that can create tension in the jaw, neck and throat.
Practise the phrase gently, keep your jaw loose and imagine the note travelling forward rather than being pushed upwards.
Once it feels comfortable, gradually add more strength without losing that relaxed feeling.

🎸 QUICK GUITAR CHALLENGE

Play an A5 power chord, then move between these four chords:

A5 – C5 – G5 – D5

Start slowly and aim to make every chord change clean. Keep your first finger relaxed and mute any strings that shouldn’t ring.

How quickly can you play the full sequence without making a mistake?

I’m currently editing a new power-chord lesson that will help you make them sound cleaner, tighter and more like the records you love.

MINUTE GUITAR CHALLENGE
Choose one power-chord shape and move it around these four notes on the sixth string:
E – G – A – C
Play each chord four times and concentrate on:
✅ Keeping the rhythm steady
✅ Muting the unused strings
✅ Releasing the pressure between chords
✅ Making every chord sound equally strong
Don’t worry about speed—clean and controlled wins every time.
Try it for five minutes and tell me which change you found the most difficult. 👇

Sometimes a song starts with nothing more than:

🎵 a rough demo
🎵 a voice recording on your phone
🎵 or a band that’s been playing the songs live
From there we can build it.
Recording, guitars, arrangement, production, editing and mixing can all be part of turning the original idea into a finished track.
