MAINTAINING OUR OPEN SPACES

Thank you to residents who contacted me about some of the trees in the copse adjacent to Redwood Drive along the opposite side of the brook in Leighton Brook Park.

There were some branches that needed attention to improve safety for those using that area of the park.

Several people have asked me about this, so just a quick update.
I previously raised this issue and can confirm that maintenance work to many of the trees was carried out at the end of summer in this area by the parks grounds team.

Happy New Year from all at The Black Lion 🥂 ✨️

2025 was a great year for Nantwich's oldest pub from another entry in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, to appearing at Nantwich Food Festival and another award for our floral displays from Nantwich in Bloom 🥳

We welcomed the BBC for a story on our history and featured in local news as a finalist in South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Awards Ambassador of Year ️🌟

We were delighted once again to play our part in Nantwich Food History Walking Tours with Nantwich Museum and to support many Nantwich charities with cash donations from our Monday night quiz, the latest being Shelter Shops Nantwich.

There'll be more great food and drink offerings in 2026 with a focus on supporting our local suppliers such as Longmans Farm Shop Whittinghams Fresh Food Service J Hulse Weetwood - Cheshire Beers and Spirits Henstone Distillery Cheshire Botanicals: The Home of Nantwich Gin
