The Saturday Show was conceived and developed by Glyn Gant, a seasoned local radio presenter having been a full time broadcaster on a number of community and Internet stations locally. His irreverent co-host is Steve Lewis who has hosted daytime and specialist shows on a variety of Community stations. Glyn is always the chirpy, jovial one which contrasts well with his partner’s often doom laden outlook on life. Despite that, Steve is the mine of completely useless information and the show’s resident muso often baffling Glyn with his music knowledge.
Above all, The Saturday Show still aims to be controversial, glib and nearly always disrespectful towards the items that appear on the show. And it’s the show’s personality that the listeners’ love. They know they can tune in every Saturday and hear something completely different to the safe and steady output often found on other stations. More importantly, the content is delivered expertly with production skills equal to other local stations, notwithstanding Glyn’s reputation for breaking any item of electrical equipment he touches!
