⚠️ SCAM UPDATE – “Overdale Enforcement” ⚠️

Further update on the ongoing messages I’m receiving from a company calling itself “Overdale Enforcement.”

Today alone, I’ve received two more text messages, again from different phone numbers, escalating the threats and changing tactics.

📩 Message 1 claims:
• I have a “defaulted account”
• I must pay as a “highest priority”
• If I don’t, my account will be passed to an enforcement officer for removal procedures
• No clear information about the original creditor
• Yet another new reference number

📩 Message 2 escalates things further, stating:
• A person is named
• A specific date and time is given
• It claims this person is “booked to visit my house to execute a court order”
• I’m told to be at home or urgently call a different number to “end the action”

🚩 Why this is a massive red flag:
• Legitimate enforcement action does not happen by text message
• Bailiffs do not book visits via SMS
• Court orders are served formally, in writing
• They must know your correct address
• Phone numbers, reference numbers, and details keep changing
• Fear, urgency, and intimidation are being used to pressure contact

This is a textbook example of psychological pressure tactics designed to scare people into responding or paying without questioning it.

⚠️ If you receive messages like this:
• Do not panic
• Do not reply
• Do not call the numbers provided
• Do not give personal or financial information
• Independently verify any debt via your credit report
• Report the messages to Action Fraud

Please share this post — messages like this can be extremely distressing, especially for vulnerable people. Awareness helps stop these tactics working.

⚠️ SCAM WARNING – “Overdale Enforcement” ⚠️

We want to make people aware of a potential scam involving a company calling itself “Overdale Enforcement.”

🚫 Important: Overdale Enforcement is not a legitimate or registered enforcement company.
Scammers are using this name to intimidate people into making payments by claiming enforcement agents (bailiffs) will visit their home.

🚩 Common warning signs to look out for:

Threats of immediate home visits
Legitimate enforcement agents must send formal legal notices by post before any visit.

Suspicious or generic phone numbers
Be cautious of mobile numbers or contact details that don’t match official listings.

Pressure to pay immediately
Scammers rely on fear and urgency.

No clear debt information
They often can’t (or won’t) tell you who the original creditor is or what the debt relates to.

✅ What to do if you’re contacted:

Do not pay and do not share personal or financial information.

Check your credit report (Experian, TransUnion, etc.) to see if any County Court Judgment (CCJ) is registered.

Contact Overdales Legal Limited directly using their official website details to confirm whether they are genuinely involved.

Get free, impartial debt advice from trusted organisations like:

National Debtline

StepChange Debt Charity

Citizens Advice

Report suspected scams to Action Fraud.

Please stay alert and share this post so others don’t get caught out. Scammers depend on panic — knowledge is your best defence.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT – Please Read & Share ⚠️

Yesterday I received a text message from a company calling itself “Overdale Enforcement”, claiming I owed £600 and that the matter had been passed to them from a company called Lovell – a company I’ve never dealt with or even heard of.

I rang the number to find out what it was about. Straight away, alarm bells started ringing:

👉They couldn’t tell me who the original creditor was
👉When I said I needed to know who the creditor was so I could contact them directly, I was suddenly told the “debt would be written off”

🚩 Huge red flag.

This morning, I then received another text from the same company, but this time:

👉A different phone number
👉A different reference number

At this point it clearly didn’t feel right, so I Googled Overdale Enforcement. This is what came up:

“‘Overdale Enforcement’ is likely a scam. The real company is a specialist law firm called Overdales Legal Limited, which handles debt recovery. Overdales Legal does not use the name ‘Overdale Enforcement’, and text messages or calls from ‘Overdale Enforcement’ are often fraudulent.”

To make things worse, the messages were quite threatening, claiming enforcement officers would be coming to my house this week — despite the fact they don’t even have my current address, only an old one.

⚠️ Please be careful
If you receive texts or calls like this:

- Don’t panic
- Don’t give out personal or financial information
- Question everything
- Look the company up independently
- If in doubt, ignore and report it

Scams like this rely on fear and urgency. Hopefully this post helps someone else avoid the same situation. 👍

🚨 Community Alert: HMRC Phone Scam 🚨

Today, we received a mobile phone call from someone pretending to be HMRC. The call began with a pre-recorded message claiming that a letter had been returned and that legal action was being taken, urging us to press a button to speak to someone.

This is a scam.
⚠️ HMRC will never call from a mobile number.
⚠️ They will not threaten legal action over the phone or through automated messages.

Please stay vigilant if you receive a call like this.
✅ Do not press any buttons or provide personal details.
✅ If you’re unsure, hang up immediately and contact HMRC directly using the official number on their website.
✅ If you do speak to someone, you can ask for their name — but always verify by calling HMRC yourself.

These scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated and are designed to manipulate and intimidate people into sharing information or making payments.

Let’s help protect our community — share this post to spread awareness and stop others from falling victim.

🚨 Cybersecurity Reminder! 🚨

Last night, someone tried to hack into my GitHub account — I knew right away because I got 3 text messages with authentication codes within just 5 minutes. Thankfully, they didn’t get in… all thanks to two-factor authentication (2FA). 🙌

This is a perfect reminder of how important it is to have 2FA enabled on all your online accounts — not just the obvious ones like email or banking, but also your developer tools, social media, and cloud services.

With 2FA turned on, even if someone gets your password, they still need that extra code from your phone or app — which makes breaking in a lot harder.

🔒 Stay safe out there, folks.
Turn on 2FA wherever you can — it only takes a minute and could save you a massive headache later!

WOW. What a productive first couple of hours of today.

Finally got the icon working in the sidebar. This has been bugging me for the last couple of weeks. As I mentioned before, the documentation isn't great so get this working is a massive achievement in my eyes.

Now that bug bear has goine, I can concentrate on the rest of the package.

I’ve started on the next stage for AW-Entertainments.

Now the website is optimised for search engines and bookings are coming through, it’s time to get a CRM implemented.Ive worked with a CRM called vTiger in the past, however I’ve found an alternative built on the Laravel framework.

It’s called KrayinCRM.

The CRM is really good out-of-the-box but it’s still limited which is why I’ve been teaching myself how to create custom packages the last couple of weeks.

Sadly, the documentation is not the best, so I’ve had to delve into the core code to see how packages work. After quite a few headaches, I’ve actually got most of a custom package built for AW Entertainments which is a booking module that convert a quote to a booking.

I’ve also got to create a custom quote module so when someone completes a quote form on the website, the form details are sent to the CRM using REST APIs.

Hoping to get this completed soon but there are 11 forms so fingers crossed, shouldn’t be that difficult once I have one form working.

All the hard work I've put into AW-Entertainments website has finally paid off.

I've had to compress and resize images quite heavily and stripped out all the unused styles to make the site load faster.

This is what I can a result and I am really happy with the result 😀
