One of our nonprofit clients in the U.S., insPYRE, opened doors for the First Day of Welding School in Knoxville, Tennessee this week.

Seven women who are being supported by the established local charity, Susannah's House, which gives mothers the power to say: “This is not how my story will end!” are the now the O.G.s - the first cohort to walk through the doors together, wear welding gloves, try on their welding gear, and get ready to learn life skills that can be later applied to fill an estimated 320K welder vacancies in the United States - a profession that pays an average of $51K per year.

A quick recap of the "Ready, Steady, Network!" event hosted today by Lanarkshire Business Hub at New College Lanarkshire - it was our CEO Jennifer Payne's first event!

Jennifer said it was fascinating to hear a lifetime of insights of lived experiences in the travel industry from Shirley Saadi, Business Development Manager at Glen Travel in Blantyre, as well as life experiences from music to business to adventures in milk and family farming from Ross Neilson, Director at Park Farm Dairy in East Kilbride - which incidentally, also has a Gym!

Jennifer added huge thanks to Michelle Docherty and Stephen McKnight for organising - and to Jim Fagan for twisting her arm to attend in the first place. 😉

As a marketing consultancy business based in Rutherglen, Jennifer Payne Marketing powered by J&G3 is already looking forward to the event planned for next month, with a focus on Lanarkshire Women in Business, aligning with International Women's Day - to be held at Hamilton Park Racecourse.
