OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS! 🎥✨

Wee Wonders Scotland is an animation talent development scheme, which will support new and emerging filmmakers in writing and directing for animation by focusing on story development and authentic voices to produce four bold, brave, daring, animation shorts between 1-3 minutes in length.

They encourage creatives from traditionally excluded backgrounds to apply. All those aged 18 years old and above from across Scotland may apply either as an individual or as a small creative team.

🎥 Screening Announcement 📢

Join us on Thursday 4th December for a special screening of Quiet on Set, a powerful documentary by Scottish filmmaker Mark Forbes { } exploring classism and inequality in the film industry and what needs to change.

At GMAC, we believe that talent is everywhere, but sometimes there are barriers to opportunity. Mark’s documentary is a reminder of why we must keep pushing for change.

Followed by a Q&A with Mark, this event is a taster of what’s to come from GMAC in 2026, as we work harder to break barriers, open doors, and build a fairer, more inclusive screen sector in Scotland.
