Hello, My name is Jordin,
So as most people know or may not know , the past few years has been rather rough for myself, I’ve had extensive grief and loss to deal with … I don’t feel that this is talked about enough, or enough services to help those who need them…
So in light of all of this, I want to introduce you all to my new adventure which is in memory of my Mum, Aileen Mary Corner.
I have created a grief support group within our local community of Abronhill, with the support of Toast Cumbernauld who kindly offered me their space to use for this group.
The service is easily accessible, free of charge, confidential and you will be supported from the moment you arrive.
Every persons journey is unique to them, everyone’s will respected, their are different types of grief, and different types of losses, my group aims to support each & every one.. whether it be a loss of a friendship, a career or a future you thought you had or a death of a pet, or a loved one. We aim to help and support your through your journey.
Lean On Us
Please ask questions, share, comment, like and follow. It would mean a lot for me to get this off the ground.
Our sessions will commence Monday 8th of September, 330-430pm and run fortnightly.
I am fully committed to this new venture and aim to help make your grief journey that little bit easier to travel.
Each session has been detailed and planned out so you get the best support possible.
Our Story
Lean On Us is a grief support group in Abronhill, Cumbernauld, created in loving memory of my mother, Aileen Corner. Losing her showed me how isolating grief can be, and I wanted to create a safe, compassionate space where anyone experiencing loss can share, connect, and begin to heal.
I’ve applied for local community funding and aim to register Lean On Us as a charity in the future. With the right support, determination, compassion, and commitment, I truly believe this group can be a blessing for our community.
Donations will help us provide materials, resources, and comfort items, offer refreshments, reach people who need support, and participate in local events like gala evenings and community activities. While we currently have a space for meetings, if the group grows, I hope to expand with extra sessions and a larger venue to support even more people.
I’ve poured so much heart and effort into Lean On Us, and I genuinely believe it can make a difference for anyone who needs support. Your contribution will help bring this vision to life and provide hope to those navigating grief.
