Kelly and Sharon Osbourne are supporting the new Omaze House Draw, which offers a £5 million home overlooking Lake Windermere along with £250,000 in cash.

The draw is raising crucial funds to help Centrepoint support vulnerable young people facing homelessness.

Proceeds will help create seven new homes through the charity’s Independent Living Programme, supporting up to 160 young people with high‑quality, affordable accommodation where rent is capped at a third of their income.

Centrepoint ambassador Kelly Osbourne has highlighted the importance of having a safe and secure place to call home, emphasising that every young person deserves the same stability.

“Living here has made a significant difference.”

Naihum always knew he wanted to inspire young people through sport, but finding affordable housing on a PE teacher’s salary felt impossible. That changed when he joined Centrepoint’s Independent Living Programme.

With rent capped at a third of his income and support to develop essential life skills, he’s built confidence, strengthened his financial independence, and found a real sense of community.

Funds raised through the latest Omaze Million Pound House Draw in the Lake District will help build more of the charity’s Independent Living homes, giving young people who have experienced homelessness the stability they deserve.

As part of our partnership with Centrepoint, we’d like to share Gill’s story.

Gill’s husband supported Centrepoint right up until the point he died unexpectedly. When she later rewrote her Will, continuing that support felt like the right way to honour his memory.

He began supporting Centrepoint after seeing a poster on the train that struck a chord, reminding him of his own difficult childhood. It mattered deeply to him – and now it matters to Gill too.

Alongside leaving a gift in her Will, Gill has volunteered her time, using her professional skills to support young people and see firsthand the difference Centrepoint makes to their lives.

“I hope that what I’m doing, however small, helps to make a difference to a charity we both cared about.”

Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough grew up without a fixed place to call home. Moving between sofas and temporary stays became normal, something he didn’t even recognise as homelessness until he began working with Centrepoint. The instability followed him into adulthood, including during his early career in London.

Today, Dean is proud to be a Centrepoint ambassador and is using his platform to highlight the challenges young people face. This month, he’ll take part in Sleep Out, giving up his bed for one night to raise awareness of youth homelessness. He says he’s reminded how fortunate he is to have somewhere safe to return to – something many young people do not.

You can join others across the country taking part in Sleep Out and helping to support young people experiencing homelessness. https://centrepoint.org.uk/support-us/start-fundraising/sleep-out/host-your-own-sleep-out?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Newsquest&utm_campaign=NewsquestSocialHYO2026&utm_term=11SLE&utm_content=Text

Winnie has taken part in Centrepoint's Sleep Out several times, giving up the comfort of her bed to better understand the challenges faced by young people without a safe place to call home. Her first Sleep Out in 2017 opened her eyes to the harsh realities of homelessness and reminded her how quickly circumstances can change.

Over the years, she has seen the impact that the charity's event can make. Last year alone, more than £575,000 was raised to help provide safe accommodation, mental health support, and access to education and employment for vulnerable young people.

As the Sleep Out team often explains, one night cannot replicate homelessness, but it can build empathy, spark action, and show solidarity with those who face this struggle every day.

You can join people like Winnie in raising awareness and helping to create lasting change by hosting your own Sleep Out in support of Centrepoint https://centrepoint.org.uk/support-us/start-fundraising/sleep-out/host-your-own-sleep-out?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Newsquest&utm_campaign=NewsquestSocialHYO2026&utm_term=11SLE&utm_content=Text

Youth homelessness can be prevented by starting in secondary schools.

Centrepoint's Upstream England programme identifies young people at risk of homelessness early, while they’re still connected to education and trusted adults. Through evidence-based surveys, family mediation and one-to-one support, small problems are addressed before they become crises.

With roots in Australia’s Geelong Project which achieved a 40% reduction in youth homelessness, Upstream is now delivered across England, Wales, and Scotland by organisations working together to end youth homelessness.

Because prevention is part of the solution. You can help ensure this pioneering work continues by donating to Centrepoint today.

One young person becomes homeless every four minutes in the UK.

Ellie knows how isolating that experience can be, and how life-changing the right support is. With Centrepoint’s help, she had time to breathe, access to a safe place to live, and support to move into education and work.

Today, she lives independently and campaigns to ensure other young people get the same chance.

Youth homelessness can be prevented and ended, but only with the right support at the right time.
