So in addition to my photos and art designs you will also find amusing quotes and fun memes here on a regular basis. My first creative love was and always will be Photography however I felt the need to to edit my photos more and more to create the vibrant look I wanted bringing me into the world of digital art, I love bold bright colours and rainbows. Many years of walking to and from work in the

pouring rain and trying to cheer myself up thinking about "rainbows in the rain" is my biggest inspiration. I used to dance competitively in ballroom and latin styles with my Fiancé and ran and trained a troupe of Bellydancers. I made the flamboyant costumes for the dancing and loved working with bright vibrant colours and shiny beads this I think also all carries into many of the designs I create. I don't take on commission work as this is not my job it's my hobby. Making this my job would I am sure take the fun away. P.S. As a photographer I try to capture pictures of subjects the way I see them or with a view to showing you the subjects the way I want to display them. My photographic work has been exhibited around the world in a number of galleries in both printed and digital display forms. My artwork designs are exactly that, they are not meant to look like photographs my camera does that. My artwork designs are creations of my visions and not meant to look perfect or to look like the photographs I sometimes use for reference. My "Heartwork" is exactly that! they are from within and will vary according to my mood at the time but generally are vibrant, sometimes quirky, sometimes a little abstract and colourful the colour is what matters most to me. My creations are meant to invoke feelings of warmth in whatever image I choose to design or create.

A very quick edit of one of the images taken this weekend at Tankspace.
What a fabulous morning we had. The models were in a huge tank of water.
The fluidity of the fabrics and the movement of the models created superb subjects to photograph.

I am going to be very busy with the day job over the next few weeks as its financial year end and my work tends to spill over into the evenings but I will spend some time processing more of these shots properly and share them when I get chance.

Big shout out to all the peeps at Tankspace and the wonderful models, everyone was amazing, thank you all so much.

So I have something new to share with you today :)

I few weeks ago I decided I needed some new cushions for our lounge. I couldn't find the colours I wanted anywhere online and set to work to design something to fit with our decor. These humming birds are based on some photographs I took back in 2016 in the USA when visiting family.

I purchased half a dozen of these myself along with the new infills and I am so pleased with them I was able to incorporate all the colours in our living room so they match perfectly. At a later date I might also create some with a purple and lilac feel as I think the colours will work well.

I now have a full range of items available with this design in my Redbubble shop. I will pop the link to them in as a comment if anyone is interested. Please note you will probably have to sign up to Redbubble to view them and if you do please give me a follow on there as it all helps greatly with marketing.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Not such a nice day today but yesterday was lovely and Spring like. We have snow drops in the garden now and daffodils are trying their hardest to reach for the sky.

Oh and further news. Having spent a few days out with my camera I decided it was just to heavy to carry and shoot with all day. It weighs just shy of 5kgs with my big wildlife lens attached. So I bit the bullet and have purchased a new smaller camera and wildlife lens.. it is taking some getting used to but I am looking forward to putting it through its paces this year. Hopefully I will have some new images from the camera and some new artwork designs to share soon :)

The Lady in Red - Happy Valentines Day

You know I love colours but to be honest blue has always been my favourite. I had to add a bright red to mark the occasion so it made sense for her dress to be red, after all why should the hearts have all the colour?

So I wonder who she is going to meet?

As it is raining hearts and not raindrops I didn't feel an umbrella was required this time.

Wishing you all a wonderful Valentines day and a fabulous weekend. Spring is just around the corner, its been a long time coming but the bulbs are peeking their way through now in the garden. Valentines day is my marker to remind me Winter will soon be on it's way out and brighter days of Spring are not far off.

Last weekend was my birthday and my other half and my brother and other family members conspired to make it a super special day.

9 am there was a knock on the door and there was my brother with tickets to go out for the day with the cameras. Tears all round I was so surprised.

We had an awesome day, jolly cold but super fun. Thank you all who were involved it was a truly wonderful day I will always remember.

This little guy was one of the many wonderful animals we photographed.

Good evening all

This might be a bit of a "Marmite" post but I wanted to get some serious tail flick into my peacock image.

I am quite pleased with the result as its given movement and a touch of an abstract feel to the shot.

I am off to work on one of my horse images next, loving this software and really looking forward to putting it through its paces as I learn more over the next few weeks.

Good morning all and a very Happy New Year to you.

As previously mentioned I am very quiet on here at the moment as I have enrolled for some new artwork and editing training.

At the back end of last year I eluded to the fact that I wanted to try something new.

I want to use some of my equine and wildlife photographic work and move in a slightly more fine art direction.

Obviously as with all artwork the finished piece takes a while to complete and as I am on a big learning curve each piece takes me twice as long at least.

Anyway here is my first one "Autumn Fox" He is not perfect but I am going to keep him as he is now and file him as my first try. I have added the original below so you can see the changes

I am absolutely loving this journey and hope to bring you some delightful new pieces over the coming months.

for those of you who love my vibrant pieces I still have a few of those I am working on but for the moment I want to spend some time on this new style.

Sat here in floods of tears having just listened to the BBCs "Review 2024 We Remember", so many wonderful people passed in 2024.

I wish you all a very happy New Year but more than that I wish for everyone to remember that every day is the first day.. the first day of the rest of your life.

I have never been much of one to celebrate the New Year but as the 31st December 2024 ticks by I want to start waking up in the morning to live every day of my life as if it is a new start.

In addition to working my main job over the Christmas period I have been studying a new art style. I love it and whilst each piece will take quite some time to create I am really looking forward to sharing this new style with you in the future.

Look after yourself and those you love. Make the most of every moment of every day. Get those boring jobs out of the way and do a lot of what you love.

Thank you all so very much for your love and support this last year.
